Wonderful experience For myself, my wife, and my granddaughter. She would not have been able to get an introduction to golf in any other way that was as productive as this and has nonthreatening for a young child as she’s only 7 1/2 and with the nurturing approach she has excelled and can actually hit the ball off the tee 50 yards—-Thus is obviously not a way to measure someone’s success but I think it makes a point.
The Family Cup format welcomed all of my family members to enjoy a fun event, even though we only have one core golfer in the group. The encouragement to have a team theme (ours was Minecraft since my 6-year-old twins love playing it) and to decorate our carts, added exciting energy to the event. I was amazed at how quickly my wife embraced the Spirit Award and the effort she put into it pulling it off. I also liked that it was a per team price, so adding a family member didn't cost more, however, the explanation of how to have a team of up to six is clunky and hard to understand since it's such a unique concept.
The atmosphere! Seeing families playing together, taking selfies, it was wonderful!
It was a great event for us. Next year, we will plan a series of events so we can have more people involved. We had over 25 families come out and spend the day together. It was awesome.
I liked that my family was able to compete together in a friendly competition. We enjoy the game of golf and we love that we can do it together.

It was a great chance for our family to enjoy playing golf together on a nice course. The gifts (frame, hats, etc) were nice touches and got the kids even more excited!

Combination of learning the game and family time. Kids enjoy the game when playing on a team with parents.
Something different for the jr golfers to look forward to that they don't usually get to do... compete with their family as a team on the golf course. Mike at Oak Brook does a tremendous job will all he does. We really enjoy this family day.
