PGA Jr League is a great introduction to the game of golf in a "low pressure" atmosphere. The kids that I have seen go through the program have grown with the game much faster than others and I believe that it is a tremendous portal for growing the game.
I love everyone thing about the program and believe it is the best thing the PGA has done for junior golf. My only problem is the super teams and players being recruited that live hours from the course they play for including in other states from where the course is located . I truly believe there should be a mileage limit from the course.
The team concept encourages the participants to learn to communicate with one another and demonstrate both golf skills and life skills while playing.

Best way I have ever seen to get a new / novice golfer excited about the game. Retention level (keeping participants playing beyond the program) is better than normal clinics. This program is creating the future lifetime players for this sport.
The PGA Junior League is one the best programs the PGA has ever come up with to promote the game. It has not only got juniors to play the game but now has their parents starting to play.
It has had a big impact on club sales and greens fees. Most of the golfers stay after the matches and practices and eat and drink in the grille room. It also has definitely increased the importance and gives more respect to the PGA Professionals at our sites.
The PGA has finally found a program that not only works but shines the light on those members that use the Junior League to the betterment of the game.
PGA Junior League has provided a structured program for our kids to get out and learn how to play the game. We just had 3 of our kids that first joined our program make the high school golf team. Before joining these players were very new to the game. That is certainly a testament to the success of PGA Junior League.

I think this program is fantastic. It provides PGA Professionals the opportunity to expand their programming and reach a new audience. PGA Jr. League is a way to engage youth golfers and young families. It has been a game changer for my facility to help attract younger families to the club and to engage these members and get them more active. I would recommend this program to all PGA Professionals.
I really like the format of the junior league and the emphasis on getting out on the course and playing. Many of the kids that I have had on my team have progressed much quicker having been a part of the team and getting to play golf. Also, it is so much fun and the kids really enjoy the team atmosphere and competition.

The format is great and fun for the kids. The team atmosphere is great and gets the kids excited about playing and competing. I have already seen a huge increase in the number of juniors who play at our club.
Great for the kids but need to coach the kids to help and should be rewarded for winning your league and not just the all stars.
