Coach Testimonials
The kids and how happy they get and how supportive they are of each other.
Great program for beginners to learn the fundamentals and get them on the course early so they have fun and stick with it. The juniors make friends and usually come back every year until the graduate to the older age group.
It is a great environment to bring juniors into the game and give them the opportunity to play on a team and meet new players.
Great program!
I think the camaraderie and lower-stress environment facilitated by the format creates a fantastic learning experience for all involved. The program provides structure for any facility to initiate/grow a long-term player development that will help form “golfers for life”.
Fun and Rewarding!
It provides a very relaxed atmosphere to introduce kids to competitive golf. For those who want to continue with competitive golf beyond PGA Junior League, it gives them a base level to start. The team aspect is very important and teaches all players to work together to accomplish their goals which is an important life skill.
It is a great way to learn a playing golf in a team environment while at the same time learning the all the fundamentals of golf. It also allows them to make friends with other team members.
All aspects
Fun with kids. Leads into other programs (Coaching/Camps/Memberships). Mixing skilled players with less-skilled players.
Camaraderie. Team Building. Values. Fun!!!
Great program. Love the team concept and the uniforms and gear the kids love.
It provides a fun, competitive atmosphere to junior golfers who are not used to a competitive environment in a very relaxed format. The kids have a great time putting on the uniform and competing for a team for the first time in golf for many of them. Helps provide confidence to many and a passion to continue to improve.
Wonderful as usual…however, as with anything, we need to tweak some procedures to ensure growth…in numbers and golfing ability
What it represents
The atmosphere is cultivates
Seeing the mintorship that happens with older and younger teammates
The value of the PGA Professional
One of the greatest ways to the grow the game! Also, a great revenue source for the club.
My favorite thing about PGA Jr League is watching the kids interact and grow their love of the game. As a coach, we try to guide them but they learn the most from each other. Learning to work with others, sportsmanship, and most importantly having fun.
I believe the league is best when we are getting newer players out on the golf course. While we all enjoy a competitive match, watching beginner golfers get their teeth kicked in by teams shooting 30-34 makes the game less enjoyable for others. While we want to win, winning shouldn't be the main focus.
The joy of success from beginners, excited parents, and the privilege of coaching.
Great way to introduce juniors to the game. Team format allows the junior to learn from others and have fun while playing.
Great revenue directly from program and from opportunities to engage players in future instruction with me. Rewarding and fun experience.
Excitement of new golfers success
Mentoring of experienced players w/ new golfers
Kids becoming competitors
Kids learning life lessons thru the game
Team astmosphere and introducing the game of golf to so many
I made a lot of money and also got several campers and students from my Junior League Team.
I enjoy the kids, introducing the great game of golf to them! Also the team aspect of the format, allowing the kids to form relationships with one another!
The team concept is great for the kids. Teaming up beginners with the better players helps teach the beginners what to do on the course. Playing other facilities is also a positive experience for the kids.
