Coach Testimonials
PGA Junior League provides an additional opportunity for juniors in our community to learn how to play golf. Our facility benefits from the revenue opportunities and customers gained through this program.
I love PGA Jr. League because it combines everything that makes golf fun with everything that makes team sports special. The scramble format keeps the game relaxed and enjoyable, while still challenging players to think strategically and work together. It allows kids of all skill levels to contribute, which builds confidence and creates a real sense of belonging.
The team aspect is my favorite part. Players cheer for each other, celebrate successes together, and learn how to handle challenges as a group. It’s a rare opportunity in golf for kids to experience that type of camaraderie.
I also appreciate that PGA Jr. League is a true community-based initiative. We bring together families, coaches, and players from all over the area, and it creates connections that go far beyond the golf course. The regular season is developmental in nature, giving players the time and support they need to improve at their own pace while still enjoying the structure and excitement of competition.
For me, it’s about more than just golf—it’s about developing people, building friendships, and fostering a lifelong love for the game in a positive, team-oriented environment.
Great for beginners with the scramble format.
Great for pace of play with triple bogey maximum.
Outlet to expose young golfers to a low pressure competitive environment to foster their growth.
I like how it develops players from recreational beginners to an introduction for competitive play. I like that is is fun and competitive and the players dont have the normal pressure of every one of their shots having to count. I like the relationships that it builds, the communication skills that it builds, the decision making that it creates and forces our players to work together as a GO-TO Team for a common goal.
It’s the best program pga has ever purchased
PGA Jr League is great program but small staff courses must have volunteers to help.
PGA Jr. League has provided our kids the opportunity to participate in a program that gives them quality instruction in the game of golf. It has also created interest in the parents and families to be a part of the PGA Jr. League experience.
Best program out there to get kids into golf
A great bridge from recreation golf to competitive golf. It is a wonderful source of revenue as well. Kids are gaining on course competitive experience. A no-brainer for PGA Professionals.
I love the program and the format, however, for smaller clubs in smaller cities, it becomes increasing difficult to keep up with the evolving PGA Jr. League. More responsibilities land on the Head Coach while the cost and portion going to the PGA rises. It is my most stressful and anxiety ridden time of the year. And hiring more people or delegating this duty are not acceptable answers for our ownership.
Kids have fun. Great atmosphere. Getting uniforms is very difficult.
PGA JL is changing the way kids and families are introduced to golf. The team atmosphere and the guidance from professional and passionate coaches makes for an incredible experience and long lasting memories.
The program is designed to allow PGA Professionals to be at the center of a junior golf league. We should be able to orchestrate a program similar to that of little league baseball or soccer.
Everything. Community connection and influence
With the exception of a few scenarios, there is no reason why a golf course wouldn't have a PGA Jr. League program. The program is backed by the PGA, the support from RLM's (Anthony Vitale in my case) is fantastic, and it literally brings communities together around the game of golf. Growing the game is the at the center of our profession and there is no better option than PGA Jr. League.
The team concept, complete with names and jerseys, and the scoring system is very player friendly, especially to newcomers.
The team format is fun and competitive and gets kids engaged and communicating with their peers. They learn interpersonal communication, decision making and conflict resolution.
Jr. League gives each golf course an opportunity to truly grow from the earliest of ages of youth. The excitement on property of seeing so many youth in uniforms for each Saturday and/or Sunday gives rise to a new era of golfers in the community.
The format I awesome.
1. The team concept
2. The format is player friendly for both beginners and veterans.
3. The gift bag is terrific
It's the best youth golf program that I've experienced as a golfer, a golf professional, and a father of a participant.
The best program for golf!
It has really helped grow my junior program at my facility. I run an academy for beginner golfers starting at age 7 and The PGA Junior League offers another level of competition that my players can grow through on their way to competing in individual tournaments.

Great introduction to competitive golf. Fun aspect with teamwork and communication at the forefront. Gives kids the opportunity to experience competitive golf at different courses and make new friends along the way.
