Especially during Covid this provided us with the opportunity to give our juniors and their families a social experience in a safe, controlled environment. Our families that got to know one another are now scheduling parent junior tee times together. The camaraderie and team building experience for the kids this season was exceptional.
Easy to run and administer, flexibility to create it the way you want / need to based on course situation. Parents and kids love it. The only thing I think needs to be re-worked in the shipping and sending of materials and jerseys. It was such a tight window and some people choose to purchase last minute so they didnt have their items until week 2 of a 6 week league. If we can guarantee to get items shipped quickly and within a 2 day window maybe we can make sure everyone gets their stuff and there are no issues.
Other than that it was a great experience and we are looking forward to running leagues multiple seasons throughout the year!

The PGA Jr. League has provided a way for me to reach out further into my community and get kids from all the neighboring areas involved with golf. I love that I can share my passion with kids of all skill levels and provide them a fun, competitive experience where they can learn and grow. Not no mention how fun it is to see the kids make new friends and then go out golfing together on their free time. There is no better way to grow the next generation of golfers than starting with the PGA Jr. League.
The format, the networking and our PGA Junior League Manager Junko is gift to the PGA of America. She is so helpful and connects each dot along our PGA Junior League Journey...what a hire by the PGA of America!!!

It is the best way for me to get my young players on course to help them learn the game. They have a ton of fun and it gets more people to the facility and creates a presence at the course that brings a positive light to junior golf.
At our facility we have a big database of junior golfers we all compete against each other in tournament like US Kids Tour. It is nice to have them come together and work as a team and take pride in playing for their home course.
Great for families, juniors, facilities and coaches. Well run in our area by Junko Suzuki who is quick to help and always detailed. Wonderful program!!!
The team concept
It's a great program that gets the whole family involved in the game in a positive way. Kids learn to play the game competitively but without the stress of individual stroke play. Parents, siblings and other family and friends can follow along on the course and watch. The course generates additional revenue at a time of day that can typically be slow.
Most importantly the kids learn to participate in a team environment which will be helpful if they continue the game into high school and beyond.
I love that it gives kids another competitive option in golf. It’s especially helpful in teaching them about teamwork as many kids may advance on into high school golf and possibly college golf. It’s also much more enjoyable for the families who get to hang out on the golf course and spectate.
