Coach Testimonials
I like the kids and how they play together with different partners. They are doing their best and celebrate their successes far more than they get frustrated with things that don’t go so well.
I like the family support provided during the games or after practices.
I like the challenge of preparing practices that are fun and prepare the kids for playing.
It is the future of the game!
The way it brings families together. We have a lot of parent involvement at our club.
We also have chosen to be in house. We feel the kids get more out of the program. We have had a younger group over the years.
I think pga junior league is awesome.
Just watching the kids play and compete
Is so much fun to watch.
I have my older kids mentor the younger kids
Early in the season to make them comfortable.
Is a great entry program for junior golfers!
Brought extended families out to discover the benefits of golf!
Format selective shot, no pressure on players able to substitute players and the fact that young people are encouraged to participate
Giving kids a chance to meet new people and ease them into tournament golf in a fun format
Teamwork, camaraderie, and the chance for kids to play different golf courses in a fun, competitive format!
Working with kids and watching them enjoy the game
The team vs team approach. The social environment that we make is second to none.
I like team aspect of it. And I like that it is for every level of golfers (if it’s set up accordingly)
From beginners to very competitive golfers.
I like the team concept. The parent support
Watching the kids have a great time
Junior League provides the best blend of instruction and play. The kids really enjoy the uniforms which make them feel part of something bigger.
Communication with the families is a snap and with the media assist, it is an easy sell.
Finally, the fact that scholarships are available makes inclusion easy.
Great way to introduce the team aspect into the game for kids.
A great mechanism to engage young golfers, learning what it means to work as a team and to do so without a ton of pressure. It is also a great way to earn additional revenue but more importantly to illustrate to the Club that you are doing something good for youngsters...a good image for yourself and your own team.
Social and competitive atmosphere for all skills, ages, and genders.
Getting all ages all skill levels in a "competitive" environment.
Everything! New friendships, building relationships and trust with families, friendly competition, game and life skills development, extra income, personal growth as a teacher and parent.
Great way to introduce kids to golf
The culture and community built amongst players, families and coaches.
It brings families together in a positive environment. It helps build confidence in young men and women. The way they grow in the 7 weeks we are together is inspiring.
Getting new junior golfers out on the golf course having FUN with their fellow teammates and competitors!
Creating family awareness of potential golfing opportunities for themselves.
The absolute best way to introduce kids to competitive golf. Kids get to compete while making friends and in the process learn the game. For the PGA Golf Professional, it is a fun way to earn extra money.
The fact that it is well publicized to the general public makes it easy for us to promote the program to our members. It has been great to engage the kids in a structured team sport atmosphere.
We would like to get back to the ability to have a "traveling" program but it has been a challenge with staff and course availability in the vicinity.
I enjoy the teaching. I enjoy the challenge of working with a range of skill and experience levels the players bring. I appreciate watching the parents supporting their kids. PGA Jr. League provides the players time to socialize, learn and play with their friends in a supportive, safe environment.
Growling the game of golf through a fun low pressure environment.
Great turn key program to unite community. Your club and families as well as put money in your pocket for programs. I also like the website communication portal to keep your parents and students up-to-date on all activities
The team format led by a professional coach. The flexibility within the program to make it your own. The resources available if I need assistance.
I love the team aspect of PGA Jr. League because players of all ability and experience levels can be successful in some way. I think the original concept of teams and players from different courses competing (before in-house leagues) was more effective at building broader relationships across the game and expanding the players’ experience, but I understand why in-house programs work better for some coaches.
It provides a well known avenue to grow your junior program while giving your student opportunities to play other courses with you present.
