Great way for kids to learn and gain confidence.
The excitement of the kids and watching them grow as golfers and people.
I love watching my players and the other teams players cheer each other and work together.
Almost Everything!
It is a prenominal program for the participating juniors, parents and our professional staff. This is our third year on an in-house league. We had 75 participants, who absolutely loved the practices and game formats.
This brings the fun of a team sport to golf. The kids stay engaged in golf longer since their friends are around them. It can even help the supper competitive kids slow down and enjoy golf in a different way.
The ability to make it fit for our PGAJL community, especially when we do an in-house league. We've had a great time this year and all the families have really enjoyed the season, asking when the next one will be. Great support through our Regional Manager - Junko Susuki (Harkins).
The format, scramble match play in a team-oriented competition. Camaraderie, sportsmanship, develop players.
its little league for golf great for the kids
Team camaraderie
Junior golfers playing other junior golfers in a scramble match play format.
Numbered jerseys.
Postseason opportunities.
Playing road games.
PGA Junior League is a great way to grow the game of golf to juniors. Less pressure on the individual with the 2 person scramble format and the flags promote team work across the board. Parents like the jerseys (team kits) and feel like there is good value. As an operator of a golf facility, registration makes it easy to promote the program and has increased exposure for the facility!
We LOVE PGA Jr League!!!!! WE will continue to have a spring and fall programs. and JUNKO is the BEST!!!
I think it's well organized, felt supported by our league manager Junko and she got back to me in a very timely manner. The training was easy and made for quick implementation at my club.
It was great for the kids and they loved the jerseys and the time spent on the course.
We conduct our PGA Junior League as an inhouse league with 76 participating juniors. It has been an overwhelming success for our Club. We allow our participating Club members to bring an non-member, which has led to several families joining the Club because of the PGA Junior League experience.
The amount of control and flexibility given to PGA professionals to format the competition as they see best.
It gets kids out on the golf course working together as a team.
Growing the game!
Get way to grow the game, boost lesson revenue and build long lasting relationships with loyal customers/members.
It’s also rewarding to watch juniors grow and improve their skills.
Parent involvement within the team sport, non-controversial, not focused on winning so much. Great for developing new junior golfers.
A good format to get kids playing started.
Fun, competitive, good learning experience for younger golfers.
Kids love it. Massive marketing program.
I love the format and having a team environment.
Pga Junior League is a great opportunity yo connect with the local community in so many ways. Junko Suzuki is awesome and so helpful!
Its great for getting juniors to the next level from beginner classes to starting recreational competition in a fun atmosphere. I wish the website was a bit more user friendly. As a younger Captain even I have trouble using the site sometimes. The app works well though.
Great program to get kids into golf, good revenue generator for the golf professional and the club.
I love everything about PGA Junior League. Most of all I like to see my juniors proud to wear their jerseys, assist the team when they are sitting out for a few holes and make birdies.
I believe the all star teams are starting to get stacked and recruiting is taking place for some teams which to me is disappointing. Nonetheless we will continue to represent for one round of all stars - Juniors love to make the team.
