What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

It's a great way to make kids the focus of playing golf on the course with parents able to follow and watch (like a sporting event). Young kids can now get excited that even grandparents come out to watch just them play (no adults playing). Also, they learn the details of etiquette and how to play the course. I find kids often have to do something incorrectly several times before they eventually learn to do it right, and unless we take the time to help kids play the course with the kids being the sole focus, these details of how to play the course aren't learned.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

I love how excited kids get to be on a team and play their matches. I also believe it means so much to them to have their parents and grandparents attend and devote their time to watching them golf. I believe it gets overlooked in this sport, but often without PGA Jr. League, kids are either "along for the ride" when golfing with parents and aren't given the time and priority needed to learn, or the parents aren't involved with the kids' golf activity and are just picking them up after it is completed. PGA Jr. League puts the kids as the priority and at the center of attention to show off their skills.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

It pairs well with our clinics week, because with PGA Jr. League they learn a lot more involving course etiquette and how to play the course. With clinics week we focus most of our time on swing fundamentals. I also enjoy how the parents and grandparents come out to watch and help supervise groups on the course. They enjoy watching the matches and the kids appreciate that their parents/relatives take the time to come out to watch. Without this league, kids wouldn't get nearly the amount of time to be the center of attention out on the course with this kind of guidance and patience.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

I like that it's a national program that sells itself to parents. Also that it's for all skill levels makes it a good way for juniors to get into the game as well as more advanced players to compete with friends.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

The kids learn the details about how to play the course, where our clinics focus more on instruction and technique. They learn course etiquette, how to mark your ball, where to stand, etc. by doing it in real life situations and by doing it incorrectly once, then learning how to do it right the next time.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

The league is a big deal to the kids and they get really excited about the matches. It also is effective to bring out the parents, getting them engaged and watching their kids play. Also, I've found it to be very effective at teaching kids the details of how to play on the course. Most of our programs focus on teaching kids the fundamentals of hitting the ball, but this league gets them on the course. They learn details about playing on the course, by first doing these details incorrectly.
