Coach Testimonials
I like the team aspect of PGA Jr. League. I love the jerseys. I feel that really makes the kids feel special!
The juniors get a feel for tournament play.
The jerseys make it feel official.
How it gets players of all skill levels involved in the game
Tremendous support, structure and dedication from Chelsea, Erica and the staff. PGA really embraces the league and what it stands for.
I love the team dynamic. I think that fostered friendships, and as we focus on retaining younger players, that is a key part of keeping kids in golf longer
Team concept. Makes it easier for new players to participate.
PGA Junior League is an excellent, gradual introduction to competitive golf. Until this program, one of the hardest things to get a new young golfer to understand is the result of your shots matter. This realization in a competitive environment has fueled a ton of independent practice and we have far more juniors going on to compete in Individual events, playing high school golf and more athletes with their sites set at the collegiate level.
PGA JR League is the best introductory program to PLAY golf.
I recommend the JR League over Camps and Clinics at the club level.
I love the team format. Golf is 99% on the individual when competing. PGA Jr. League brings a team/club together and builds friendships and a sense of teamwork to reach certain goals. For beginners, the scramble format takes a lot of the pressures off scoring, and allows them to learn from better players along the way.
It's a great platform for learning golf and playing in an environment that is not so intense. It's great to have the buddy system (with the 2 person scramble format).... They eventually move on to individual play after playing in PGA JLG a couple of years.
It is a great way to get kids introduced to the game
Support from PGA is awesome. From fresh start to seasoned programs, they have great help and would improve any organization.
Great format for transitioning kids from the range to the course.
The excitement from the players, parents, and coaches as new and somewhat experienced players get a chance to compete in a relaxed and fun environment.
It is a great avenue to get groups of kids for training, engaging and playing matches in a great environment. The kids create lasting friendships and is a catalyst towards more competitive golf should a junior desire that.
It provides junior golfers of all skill levels with the opportunity play golf together, be part of a team and most importantly have fun.
team golf format, national recognition of the program
The fun, family atmosphere and getting kids out on the golf course.
PGA Jr League is an amazing opportunity for our youth to be introduced to this wonderful game!
Best Program Running!
PGA name brings more kids to the league. Organized structure helps if you have not run a league.
I like the fact that it provides an opportunity for players of all skill sets to enjoy the game of golf in an environment that is commensurate with their abilities and still competitive.
I love the team aspect and how it brings the community together in a recreational league format.
The format, watching the juniors play new courses, the team atmosphere. It's all great.
Format allows for a variety of skill levels in a competitive environment. Leaning into mentorship with our experienced players and peer learning for our beginners. The team aspect makes it fun and provides motivation for athletes to improve their skills. Getting "better" isn't an obtuse goal (particularly for a beginners) but a focused one like "I can help my team if my distance control on the greens was better. If we hadn't three-putted that hole we would have won the Flag"
I like the format of 2 person scramble format. And the Team atmosphere that goes along with practices and matches.
It is the future of the game learning how to compete.
It’s gets kids out on the course in a fun team format. It brings families together around the game.
Team golf, 2 person scramble, match play = less stress, more fun!

The comraderie and the Team atmosphere as well as playing a scramble format for these young kids.
