Coach Testimonials
The program has been a nice tool to promote the game and get the entire family associated with the country club atmosphere. Like anything else it needs to be our job to keep the cost of this program in check so all can enjoy. The golf industry runs in cycles like the economy and our industry needs to remember that in 2008-09 we lost 1,000,000 golfers. Cost here reached a tipping point in my opinion and we must be ready in this bubble is going to burst, Nothing last forever .
Thanksa

It creates a great environment for kids to learn and play golf. It's great that the parents and families are involved and spectate when there are matches
Allows our First Tee participants to take the next step in their growth---playing and competing on the golf course. And for us to keep them in First Tee, instead of watching them participate in another course league.
It's a great environment for kids to learn and enjoy golf in a stress free atmosphere!
The children learn golf fundamentals and life skills such as sportsmanship, kindness, respect, responsibility, honesty and perseverance. PGA Jr League also builds community and the children become friends for life.
I have been running the PGA junior league program since its inception. It is a great way to get juniors out to the golf course. Also, brings the parents to the golf course. I have seen several juniors continue to play golf following the league season. I have run both spring and fall seasons. I see mostly beginners but when I see repeat players I know the program is successful.
The PGA Jr. League is a great revenue stream for professionals as well as a great development tool for young golfers and will help foster player engagement for years to come. Young golfers turn into older golfers, win win situation.
Love the team and the mentoring aspect from the more advanced kids to the less experienced kids. Opportunities to build relationship and friendships between kids and families.
It gets kids out on the course. The PGA JR League model allows me to teach kids how to play golf rather than just hitting the ball.
PGA Junior League is a great way to introduce new juniors to the game of golf and to enhance the skills and playing ability of the more advanced juniors.
It's an awesome concept to introduce kids to playing golf, not just taking a jr clinic. It's also a nice spring board for those kids who wish to play more competitively. As a coach, I appreciate the flexibility on how to run my program. And my regional director (Brian Bayne) and PGA staff member (Tim Paragone) are always soooo helpful and respond quickly to any of my questions. THANK YOU PGA Jr League!

Greedy for growing the game and exposure to our facility
Affordable
Best program in the PGA
Foundation is golf and family...two things that every successful golf club, public or private covets for it's business.
It's a great way to get kids involved in golf. Something about the PGA Jr. League atmosphere that is fun for kids and coaches
Its a great program to introduce boys and girls to the game of golf while allowing the non beginner student to improve his golf skills.
Ability to grow the game
The kids enjoy it and it's a great way to get them into the game of golf!
No question, PGA JLG is a great supplement to any Junior golf program. It furthers development in a way that could never be simulated otherwise.
Allows the PGA professional to further grow a junior program in a way that was not available in the past. We now have another line of revenue that we can earn from. These same league players then double down and take private instruction, participate in junior camp and spend money in our golf shops.
Parents love the organization of the program and the way it can now rival other sports like Little League Baseball. It gives the juniors a way to compete on a novice level as opposed to putting their sons/daughters directly into individual stroke play competition.
Our club loves to see all of the juniors during both practice times and match days absolutely consume the facility. The juniors and their families bring tremendous energy each day they are on property which is a magnet for future recruitment to both public and private clubs.
PGA Jr. League is a complete no-brainer for any PGA Professional. Any club that does not participate is missing the boat on the best development program that the PGA has launched since I've been a member in 2009.
I like the format and the overall structure of the program. Ensuring the kids have fun first is a wonderful goal.
It is a great junior program. Gets juniors to the golf course 2 times a week. Instruction and playing time.
It's a great program to get kids involved in golf.
Its a great team event for kids of all playing abilities.
What is not to like? We are growing the game while creating lasting friendships not only among the kids but also with the parents and the families that are involved. We make a point of having a pizza party at the beginning and end of the league season. This brings all the families together .
My kids love to compete...junior league allows them to compete but with the scramble format the pressure is less giving them an opportunity to grow
PGA Jr. League is an excellent way to get young kids involved in competitive golf in a fun, social atmosphere without a high pressure environment. This is a fantastic initiative!
Good for Club
The league brings juniors, parents and families to our facility. Can only help any golf course business. That is probably what I like the most. The challenge is to get these players to continue to come to our facility once the league season ends.
Its a great way to get kids excited about coming to the golf course. People around the club see the jerseys and are always asking what it's all about.
Everything. Coaching is a huge part of my life and being able to grow the game starting at a young age in a fun environment but with some competition is huge for the game. We have grown our program from 1 team of 12 to 1 team of 18 and looking to expand to 2 teams of 12 and a 17u team of 10. It has been great for our club and me specifically!

From my experience, PGA Jr. League has been an incredible program for the kids I coach. The team format makes golf fun and welcoming, and I’ve seen how it builds confidence, leadership, and friendships both on and off the course. What I love most is that it gives every child a chance to be part of a team, support one another, and grow not just as golfers, but as people
