I like the easy of sign ups. I don't like the extra fee as the teams go through states etc.
I liked that Jr. League gets the kids outside and being active. I just wish we had more time to play matches, being the in the Northeast and having to take school, other sports and weather into consideration, it very much condenses the schedule to only a few weeks.

Great program
Pga Junior League is a great transition for Juniors from our Junior program to begin having some fun competition. Then from there, it is a great transition into high school golf. The kids love it, the parents love watching their kids, and it is a nice additional revenue stream for the club. I highly recommend it!

As a PGA member I have promoted the game I love all my life. My father was a PGA Golf Professional and he also promoted the game and had many juniors in his lifetime that had thanked him for doing so. The game promotes life values as well as fitness. My only complain is that my 17 U team wanted to compete after winning the sectional in the regional but finding out their entry was going to be $200 and not be able to move on to the nationals it was too expensive. If some of that money was moved forward to the nationals they would have understood. I understand it cost to have events but in our area and at a public course my parents don't have the extra. I understand some parents with exceptional athletes can invest in their children's future for college etc. But the kids that play and enjoy the game for game's values these parents just want those values for their kids. Our course gives these kids free golf and I pay for their range balls and the PGA should give more too. I do appreciate the money I receive and try to move it forward too.
Teaching Kids this wonderful game of a lifetime, I'm 74 and it makes me young and proud of giving back to the game that my father a PGA Golf Professional taught me.
