PGA Jr. League is a great way to create a fun, competitive environment for young golfers to improve their games, develop camaraderie among their fellow juniors, make friends, and most of all have a good time playing the game of golf. Essentially little league for golf, the league's scramble format allows newcomers to make mistakes, and also encourages older players to teach the younger ones and help them along. Beginners that struggle feel involved in the victory, even if their contribution was short putts or allowing the better player to be aggressive. Having coached PGA Junior League teams for over seven years since its inception, I can personally say every club or area of the country should be working towards developing a PGA Jr. League team.
