We originally went to Kumon and had a TERRIBLE experience. I sent a request for information through Mathnasium East Vancouver and within 10 minutes had a phone call from Ashley, who was so knowledgeable and understanding exactly what my kid needed from math tutoring! My daughter came out of the first session very excited and telling me how much fun she had; she has a variety of tutors depending on the day and all of them have kept her smiling and excited to come back. After a month of this, I decided to enroll my older daughter as well just to boost her fundamentals and she is also very happy with the experience. The approach through Mathnasium is so great: they do a VERY thorough initial evaluation and use that as the basis for starting and build on that. The are methodical in the approach and do not base success on time, unlike Kumon, which is much less stressful for my kids. The reward system is also a big hit with the kids, and my younger one saved enough star cards to "buy" her best friend a Christmas gift. Perhaps a tad expensive, but at this point (one month in) I would say this is well worth the cost to create a solid math foundation that will build skills to keep them moving forward at school. Absolutely recommend without reservation!

The instructors are great! I have a child that is very hard to please, he loves it and looks forward to his visits. The facility itself is decorated nicely and it’s very welcoming to children of every age.

The staffs are very friendly and do an amazing job at nurture a learning environment. I am so glad that I signed up my daughter to Mathnasium. Within a month, I can see a significant improvement in her abilities. I highly recommend sending your kids to this center. You’ll will not be disappointed.

Both of my girls love this program! My oldest struggles with math a lot and my younger one was a little behind for her grade level. From the assessment through many sessions both girls have enjoyed participating in their sessions. They never complain about having to do it and get excited when they pass areas and earn rewards. I loved the confidence the owner had in getting my girls up to grade level and the patience each teacher has had with them and other students. Having it all virtual made me unsure how well it would work, but they are rocking it!

My daughter loves it. She does miss going in person but times are strange right now so she’s happy she can still get tutoring in via zoom.

Even though My son is way ahead in math at school; he thoroughly enjoys learning new concepts at his own pace here. He is a lover of Math and this place allows him to foster his love for the subject.

My daughter did not received the math foundation she needed to be successful in her 8th grade math. She came to the realization she needed help. We looked at online resources at first but felt she would do better with more personal interactions. She looks forward to coming 3 times a week and does it without a fuss.

Our kid loves coming to Mathnasium. She says they make it fun and wants to keep coming!
