The Instructors are great.
Like Silver Sneakers and Instructors.
I like Andreas silver sneakers class and also her chair yoga class.SHE DOES A GODD JOB WITH BOTH CLASSES
I love the classes for silver sneakers. My favorites are the dance class on Tuesdays with Susie and Cindy. And attending the strength training with them on Tuesday and with Suzy on Wednesdays. They are so knowledgeable and helpful and fun. It makes keeping myself active an easy choice, I love it.
Overall everyone is so friendly and I appreciate the facilities at the Y in Lakewood.
I haven't been to the programs with activities but from the people in the neighborhood I heard the activities and programs are amazing I love that you guys upgraded all your machines the family Lakewood YMCA is an amazing place to bring family and friends..
New weightlifting equipment
There are a variety of things to do. The atmosphere is welcoming.
I liked the volleyball open net on Fridays. It's been nice having a nearby open net option over the winter.
Two Silver Sneaker classes Monday am using weights, band….with an excellent instructor,Andrea! Utilization of hydromassaging chaise….
Great personnel and programs. Focus is on the total individual—physical, spiritual, social, sustainability and more. In addition, we’re fortunate to have Kevin Born-Crow as the leader of the team.
The staff, the teachers, the facility, those who work out there, seeing families and people of all ages. It IS a community!
Many classes are offered but it can be frustrating that the schedules are no longer posted on bulletin board outside of classroom. If one wanted to spontaneously join a class they don't know what it is. I'm sure can look up online but is always easier to have it right there. Other Y's have several schedules posted.
I enjoy the Core and yoga programs.
Lakewood is always a Great workout, Thanks for the update equipment in the YMCA
I love that so many of the classes are free and require no sign up
Yoga and strength training classes
Your facility has a great variety of classes and opportunities to increase your physical health.
I don't use any of the programs or activities.
Mainly I use the pool open swim hours. Some things I would like to see improved:
-sometimes the cleanliness of the pool deck is not as good as it should be.
-the Y does not do a good job of notifying members when the pool schedule is changed for special events. Twice in the last 6 months I have arrived at the pool to find it is either closed or soon to be closed for a special event. Nothing was communicated via email or the 360 app. I have complained about this and basically got the brush off. Special events are certainly known well in advance and should be communicated in advance to members.
Scheduling
I love how kind they are. The access to day care so I dnt have to find a sitter. The gym is always clean and no one bothers us while we work out.
I love the various chair yoga classes.
I only did the water exercises, it was really good.

Family friendly, community minded- most of what we are looking for in a family gym.
The large variety of group exercises offered. I also like how the instructors are so patient with new members.
