I really only go there to exercise on the equipment.
The trips I've been on have been fun & interesting. The staff is wonderful & very helpful. They take care of any issues or get answers to questions. And they care about the people that go there!

Nice variety
My husband and I really like the classes, especially Jay's cycle & cardio workouts and we love Cassie's bodypump classes as well. We are very thankful for the childcare as we wouldn't be able to go to the Y without it and would not have purchased membership if it wasn't for the childwatch. The people there are great and our kid looks forward to going there. Thank you all!

I love all the friends I’ve made at the Y, there’s a real feeling of community. The teachers are wonderful, I’m always amazed that they remember everyone’s name! The classes are great, always challenging but never too much.
Friendly staff in the pool facility, help me keep my weight under control!
Water exercise
ALL OF THEM HAVE A VERY GOOD ENVIRONMENT
I really love the group exercise classes at the Geauga YMCA! The instructors are terrific whether it’s Jay’s Cardio and Strength Blast, Melanie’s Cycle and Core, or Cassie’s BODYPUMP, I feel stronger and I look fitter! I like that they also introduce new classes here, too! When I’m off in the summer, I like to take advantage of the morning classes they offer (great variety!). There is a class for everyone, no matter your age or ability!
I’ve been trying to get my best friend to join, but the joiner fee is a downside for her. I’m hoping they offer a deal soon for people who wish to join during the summer months. Hopefully, the newbies that join in the summer will love this Y as much as I do and choose to continue their membership year round!
Please keep doing what you’re doing and maybe it would be beneficial to offer a few classes in the fall prior to 6:00 PM for those who wish to come to the Y directly after work.
All in all, after all these years of being a proud member of the Geauga Y, I would definitely recommend this facility. I have formed many relationships with staff and members alike. I sincerely enjoy coming here and meeting up with some of the most caring people I’ve ever met!

We primarily use the equipment, it is well maintained, clear, and usually available. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming.
The pool for my grandkids.
There's something for everybody here. My trainer is very skilled at designing a fitness program that meets my specific needs.

I like the many options to exercise at the Y and the friendly staff.
The only negative I have is due to the guests who ignore the rules. I see many folks use and sweat on machines and then leave and go on to the next without wiping up after themselves. It has gotten to the point that unless I see someone wipe a machine down, I will wipe it before and after I use it.
Last week there was a worse incident, a man was sitting on a machine for 15 minutes or more carrying on a conversation on his phone. During that time, I used 4 other machines and when that was the last machine I needed to use I saw him finally finish his conversation, do one set on the machine, get up and walk away! No care or concern for others. I was prepared to confront him if necessary but I shouldn't have to do that. No staff was around and the office door was closed...very frustrating.
