Martha is the best. She’s my regular stylist but when out of town I went for a “trim” at a different stylist. Got a very bad cut. Let it grow out a little and came back to Martha asking for a correction cut. She made me look fabulous. It was a good reminder to me about “bad” cuts. It makes a huge difference to have a great stylist!!! Thank you!

The offering, the quality, the service, everything at Max FX on South Lamar is great! The only reason this isn't a 10 is because the front desk area is so awkwardly set up. There's no obvious space to stand when speaking with the hosts, making your next appointment, or paying the bill. When you sit and wait the seats are in the middle of the walkway and stare right at the shop floor, making you awkwardly look at your stylist while they finish with their previous client, and watch other customers that come in walk in front of or behind you. Reorient this setup and everything will be perfect!
Love how you have availability last minute, and that it’s a signature salon (with signature ad ons).. always bummed when I’m at another Aveda salon that doesn’t offer it.

Part salon, part family. I would trust the team at Maximum FX with my life. Every appointment I had I left so happy with the results and the treatments I received while I was there. Every visit feels luxurious and calming. I am always treated with care, my requests heard with care, and the results are out of this world. Customer service goes above and beyond here between hand massages, hot tea, temple massages, and so much more. If you want a wonderful experience with some of the best colorists and stylists, you cannot go wrong here.

I’ve been going to MFX since its original location on the drag… their professionalism and attention to detail can’t be matched. Lillian is amazing with maintaining my blonde and Javier is a master with the scissors. What else can I say but I’m a fan.
I have very stubborn gray roots, so the processing for root touch ups takes an hour. They always allow for that extra time. They also evaluate each time, if I need a color adjustment or have a hair issue that needs correcting. My hair has been very dry, and after mentioning it, they used a new oil treatment (a shelf product that takes very little to use)on my hair which I love. I am not sure of the name, but will put it in my list to purchase later.
This was my first visit at Maximum FX at Circle C Ranch with Maritza. I came for a trim of my hair and Maritza did fantastic job! She cut my hair slightly shorter than I was planning on having but it was meant to be! I get so many compliments on my hair and how younger and more cute it makes me look so I am happy 😆 I’m 48 years old and work out a lot so good haircut is important to me to feel good and have hair with low maintenance 🙃
Maritza is a professional at her craft and has skills. My bangs look great and haircut overall has new healthy, sexy look.
