To put it simply, my daughter's skills in math were 'low' and behind. Covid hasn't done us any favours and she had a strong reluctance to practice/ work on her skills at home with us/ independently. She avoided math all together. When we joined Mathnasium, after receiving glowing recommendations from another parent, there was a huge shift in her attitude and mindset! She really looked forward to going to her sessions and made great connections with some of the tutors there, 'hoping she would get paired with certain ones'.
But the entire environment was so positive and welcoming, it was all a positive experience.
Viviene remarked on something last week that made me so happy and proud.
When asked about her hobbies, 'she said math'.
And when she was going to miss a day of school, (as a result of attending a funeral), she asked to go for the first period, so she wouldn't miss math class, since she loves it now!

Critical thinking and problem solving are a focus. This is crucial, as that is not taught in the school system.
I am confident my child will grow in her math skills, as well as reason and logic.
I would certainly recommend Mathnasium. My daughter is in Grade 8 and really likes the flexibility of online lessons. She still receives excellent assistance and her overall understanding of math has improved greatly!

Great for kids!
We were previously at the Port Credit location but recently moved to Clarkson and kept sending our kid to Port Credit. When we learned that the Clarkson centre was run by Erena we were thrilled as it meant we could switch to the Clarkson centre as we knew it would be run at the same level of high quality. We then learned that Paul was the director of the Clarkson centre which was even better news for us as our kid had worked with Paul when he was at the Port Credit centre.
The team is fabulous and the instructors demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and patience when instructing our 5 yr old!

Mathnasium has been a wonderful experience for both my children. Aiken, Sarah and Mrs S are patient, friendly and truly motivating. Their contests and games make my children feel like the instruction is fun and enjoyable. They go out of their way to to learn what each students interests are which has helped build a strong relationship. If at anytime I have a question about progress, Paul is always available to help.

Mathnasium has worked with my daughters to keep them learning and advancing. My daughters completed assessments to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and any gaps in learning. After teaching concepts and allowing them practice with each skill, they reassessed to determine if the skills taught had been achieved or whether further learning was required. Mathnasium is accommodating and has been able to find times that work with both of my daughters schedules. I would recommend the Clarkson location to anyone who is looking to improve their child’s success in math.
