I particularly enjoy the line dancing and yoga classes. I also like the availability of the various fitness equipment. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
The classes I am able to go to are friendly and great workout options. I would love to have later yoga or Pilates classes offered. (After 6:30 would be ideal for my schedule)

the group classes are laid back and not restrictive... I can follow along or do my own thing in the water activities.  the bikes and other equipment always look clean and ready to use  I enjoy the fact that I can do what I can do and if I can't do it, I just skip that part and wait for the next steps.. no pressure, work at my own pace.  the hours of operation are great.  the group leaders are very attentive, instructive, personable, and friendly.  I've not met an unhappy person at the Y

Indoor pool
I have done water aerobics for at least 10 years and it keeps me flexible & mobile for being 79 years old. Have made good friends also.
Great workout
I enjoy the line dance and zumba classes. I generally go on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I would like to attend the Silver Sneakers class at 10 but it is the same time as the line dance
class. Would like to see an AOA line dance class like the Y had several years ago. Some of
the urban dancing is tough on my knees and arthritic feet.
I also use the equipment.
I like the facility and my boys are currently apart of the basketball program. Their coach is amazing.

I have been a member of TW Davis YMCA for many years. I mainly use the gym area, so I can't really speak to other programs or activites that are provided. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the facility is consistantly clean.
Your instructors are awesome. They are all willing to let you know that you can try anything you want, but just begin at your own pace. As a newbie to yoga, no matter which class I ended up in, all instructors were encouraging. None made me feel that I had wandered in to the wrong class! I like the variety of classes at all times in the morning. I also like the availability of machines when I want to work solo. I can’t leave out the front desk and gym personnel - everyone is so welcoming!
The facility is easy to access, trainers and facilitators are very friendly and welcoming!
I like the variety of classes—and the indoor pool
There are lots of outreach programs for health and socializing that I may one day take advantage of.  There seems to be a good ratio of support personnel to act as a parachute for any number of problems.
People come to the Y and have a tendency to stay  on till they are no longer able.  The focus is on good health.  As an older adult, I am very glad there are programs for my age group, but I am also glad there are younger adults who add their enthusiasm and stamina to the mix!

been a member of t w davis ymca in richmond for over 30 years, have done mumerous classes and thepool over the years i am 84, alnodt 85 years young and now my joy is the pool, i average 3 times a week doing my own routine in the deep, keeps me going.....always loved the water so this is perfect for me......and now i am a silver sneaker,,,,wow

We go to flexibility classes 4 days a week. It has really helped my husband with is balance. Instructors are great and you work at your own pace. Like any exercise program you have to do the work and they specialize in muscle strengthening.
