Nicely equipped and maintained facility. Lap swim pool availability is good and that is a great advantage over most gyms. Staff are friendly and responsive. The Northeast Family YMCA is a clean well maintained facility. There are two pools for many different classes and working out. The Y offers many different classes and groups for maintaining your health.

Variety of classes
Friendly staff, clean up-to-date facility. My one wish is easily accessible instructions for use of the fitness center equipment. For example, I started using the rowing machines recently, which I hadn't done when I was working with a personal trainer (I'm not doing that now). I scanned YouTube and found a helpful video on the proper use of the machine. I'm sure there are similar videos for other equipment, but I don't think about it until I'm there (and then it's too late!). Instructions/introduction to all the new equipment that was added this year would be another helpful feature.
Multiple Machines and Clean
My favorite thing about the YMCA is the childcare provided while I can spend some time exercising or sitting down to knock out a grocery list. This breathing space has been invaluable and a true lifesaver.
