Great experience. The instructor was very helpful and patient with my toddler who was terrified at first.

I have been away from the Jeffersonville Y for a long time because of Covid. I walked through the front doors last Friday for the first time in more than 14 months. I took a long look at the place and picked up class and gym schedules, but most importantly I visited with friends I hadn't seen in over a year. I have really missed the Y. Before the pandemic I went every day, Monday through Friday. I intend to start easing myself back into a regular schedule at the Y, staring next week. I take classes like Step Express and Turbo Kick for both the physical and mental exercise, and Body Pump for strength exercises. I also very much enjoy the social aspect of visiting the Y. Your instructors and staff are top notch, and so are the Y members. I have made many new friends since joining the Y over 11 years ago. I have missed them and look forward to renewing our friendship when I return. I did some of that for the period of time I was there on Friday.

I use the pool for aqua fitness. Greeted warmly every morning by front desk staff making me feel welcome, then enter pool area to be greeted by friendly guards and great teacher. Best of all is fellowship of others who are trying to be healthy and happy.
When you enter the building, the people greet you with a kind of joy. The building is clean and sparkling, plus the exercise equipment is always in tip top shape!

Seeing and sharing time with friends
First, let me say I'm so happy to return to the YMCA. I really enjoy the group sessions of yoga, barre and zumba as a way to exercise.
It makes me happy to go swimming. But i get severely upset with the First Shower to the Left. The water hose is NOT right. The outside floor gets floodedIt takes 7 minutes to get the water the right temperature. Eady to get Scalded! The Paper towels do Not automatically come down. You have to HIT the black container with your hand ! Uggggh !
I really enjoyed the swim lesson with my daughter. It was very well organized and keep her attention the whole time.
