Member Testimonials
I haven’t tried any programs or activities.
Equipment is plentiful and well maintained.
Family atmosphere. 😀
Being able to work out at my own pace at a time of my choosing. The variety of machines and equipment are also plus factors.
I love the instructors, and the people that work at the Y very friendly. It’s nice and clean I enjoy working out, and working there. I just wish we had more classes that’s what a lot of ppl want.
Awesome classes and trainers!!
The YMCA has all the equipment I need. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have worked out for over 25 years and have never been in a gym kept cleaner and sanitized.
I like to do my walking at ymca like the working they are very good friends
Very clean and organized.
We use our Silver Sneakers program thru our insurance plan. We are so grateful the Y honors this.
So far, we only use the upper body machines, bicycles, and treadmills. The Y in Joshua is always kept so clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.
They have more than enough machines at the times we go. We try to go 3xs a week.
We met Tanner, the membership manager, I believe he said. Very uplifting and encouraging guy. Made us feel welcome and appreciated.
I like the people that work there. And the equipment is great.
I go right now to exercise on recumbent bike and treadmill. I would do more there but senior extra activities have been curtailed. I find that more and more of the equipment is broken or in not very good shape. Some of the bikes are wobbly or the straps are gone to hold my feet on pedals. The tv on treadmills are broken. Almost half do not work and others have signs that say sorry don't work.
Recently one of my friends, a Senior, said to me that she felt that it wouldn't be long and the Y would be closing. She did not give me a reason for her statement but I can tell you that she is not the only one that feels that way. This would be really be a loss to me and my husband because we have been advised by our doctors to exercise and since we are on a fixed income rehab facilities would be too expensive, We have problems that would be helped by walking and other exercises. We have places to walk at home but I have allergies and walking outside is not what I can do,
I live out on about 17 acres and the closest grocery store is 20 minutes and too crowded to walk, The Ymca is in Joshua is the closest, There are other places that are a little farther with exercise equipment but I prefer to go to Y if they would fix their equipment and add a few activities that would provide some socializations, to people who have few friends any more.
like facility and friendly employees. very helpful. Lucy would like to see a trainer.
Professional, clean
I especially like the group classes. The instructors are very good and bring lots of fun and enthusiasm to our classes.
The front desk crew are friendly and professional. Brad is a one of a kind. He is extremely knowledgeable and never to busy for a few words or to make a helpful suggestion. I've seen interact with people from 10 to 80 and is always spot on.
Close to home. Super nice people and Senior classes. I try to go 2 times a week and they know me by sight and so friendly and helpful. I tell everybody about the Joshua YMCA.
In our current status of bad service is the norm the Y staff is always helpful, greets members by name and appear to be happy to be there.
