Great personal training, great facility with fine and extensive equipment
There’s something for everyone!
I like friendly staff, clean workout areas, equipment organized and put away, clean pool and hot tub, clean locker rooms, and friendly staff.
Equipment available
Enthusiastic instructors and a great facility!
It's clean. The sraff is very nice at the front desk.
Convent location and hours.. Many activities to choose from
My membership at the Y has been a great experience. Wonderful staff, equipment, trainer Johnnie, and Martha's boot camp!
I like that there are a variety of activity classes to join different times of the day. The trainers are so friendly and always so motivational to do your best. I have tried most of them and I am very pleased. My favorite is Zumba.
Don't participate
I actually don’t use them often but they are great for my 9 year old daughter to learn new things
I appreciate the family friendly atmosphere at the Y. Seems like everyone in my exercise class wants to help everyone get set up or put away our weights. Sometimes check on one another when you don't show up as often as you used to.
Like the yoga classes, especially the ones conducted by Lorie.

I usually work alone. I will be using the trainer. I have four sessions and may purchase some more.
I love TRX! Eric is great, I also love Katrina's barre class!
Ballroom dance class needs to be advertised more.
I love the Warrior class!
morning schedule at downtown Y works well for me.
I have several instructors that teach Bodypump that are so motivating and make coming to class fun and energizing! Tina, Stephanie and Liz are great assets to the downtown YMCA!
Variety of classes offered at multiple times. Good instructors. All comers welcome (not exclusively for suburban housewives in skinny yoga pants, or business executives too full of themselves to say hi at the water fountain). Most people seemed concerned with exercise rather than body sculpting or parading around to show off their bodies. Social area in coffee room with lending library is nice. Pool is great. I wish the deep pool were open. Nice that they have summer camps, childcare full time in basement, and childcare for 1-2 hr visit on second floor.
Healthy eating programs are nice and Friday potluck lunches are fun. I wish I had more time to go to the Y.
I used to love the fact that you offered 4 Zumba classes per week but now we’re down to 2. Disappointing.
Very friendly staff at the front desk.
One wish: When waiting for a lane at the pool, it would be nice to have a system to show who is next..... maybe a set of cards hanging on a board by the wall.
Wish 2: clean towels inside the locker room instead of outside
Great facility. Worth every penny to join.

I like the variety of machines and weights are available. I like how the exercise rooms are situated and do not disturb the weight room, rooms for endurance and cardio machines. The receptionists can maybe be just a little bit friendlier or maybe smile more and the track is interesting but it’s understandable for open space to be limited in a downtown building. Overall it’s clean, equipment is nice, lots of workout options, it’s good.
