Just a good general family-friendly environment.
Indoor pool/swim classes, yoga/tai chi classes
I like the location
Love the steam room/dry sauna
Racquetball courts availability
There’s plenty of space for all to workout.
The locker rooms are generally clean and tidy too.
I THINK THEY NEED TO ADD A ZUMBA CLASS IN THE MORNING MAYBE LIKE 9:00AM OR 10:00AM ON ONE DAY IF NOT 2 DAYS
Haven't tried them.
The facility is well-maintained and the staff is very friendly.
Early morning lap swimming is the best!!! Thank you!
I wonder if you all would ever consider opening at 5:00 a.m. on weekdays, and 7:00 a.m. on Saturdays, like the Benbrook YMCA does?
There is a sense of community at the Y. I love the diversity of age ranges, and the staff is always warm and welcoming!
Good pool, steam room.
Thank you so much for keeping your pool warm enough for us to be able to swim our laps. The benbrook pool will be closed for awhile so we took a chance at the downtown pool. The last time we were there a year ago, the pool was so cold, my arthritis could not handle it and my muscles cramped up. Yea!!!!!......this time we got our laps in and so thankful we will have a place to go until the Benbrook Pool is ready.
I appreciate everything the Y does. You all are fantastic. From the cleaning crew, to the instructor's to the front desk staff. Exceptional. We could not ask for anything more.
Thank You,
enough equipment that there is not waitng
Pool available
I like that YMCA has different type of classes to offer,. Very family oriented.
I've enjoyed working out at the downtown Y nearly forty years .
The parking lot system creates full and overflow conditions. Many cars likely represent Individuals not in the Y building. Some may or may not be Y members.
Tokens provide better control. Trade off between staff time to collect tokens and customer satisfaction. I vote for member satisfaction.
Overall, I find the facilities very good and the downtown location is great for those who work and/or live near downtown. My one suggestion would be to better promote Pickleball as a community recreation option. Currently it is scheduled Tuesday mornings only and the nets are in terrible shape, virtually unusable. Replacing or repairing the nets and adding at least one more day/time on the schedule would improve the draw to this location.
Swim, steam.
Use of exercise facilities.
I love the Y because it does have multiple options for a workout. There are so many types of equipment to choose from, spin class, swimming, and body pump just to name a few!
My wife and I love the Y; we come 3 days a week - she swims 20 lips a day, and I play racquetball. The variety of people- all of whom are open and friendly - makes the Y among the most democratic places in FW ( a deeply undemocratic and Republican city).
Nice selection of both cardio and weight equipment. Clean.
I have been a member of the Y for most of my adult life and I jump at the chance to brag on the Y. Having YMCA memberships now a national membership, it's something to promote especially to people that tend to workout on their lunch break.
25 meter pool opening usually @ 5:30 am; strength training equipment both free weights and machines; stretching areas; accommodations for all age groups; philosophy that any movement is independent quality survival. The "Y" provides quality, safe, consistent community services for our communiy.
wide diversity, convenient schedule, nice facility, and personable employees
