I love the wide range of classes, the cleanliness of the Tandy Y, the friendly staff, and the people-to-equipment ratio upstairs.
I especially love the Group Blast class with Beth M (and Group Core)! She has such a fun, upbeat energy that keeps me motivated! I enjoy when Liz A and Sarah H sub for her, and get the same energy (not every sub does this). I burn so many calories and I stay consistent because it's so fun!
I used to live In Asheville and went to the Y there, but the weight and cardio room got so crowded that it really wasn't enjoyable. I think there are enough "down" times where I can workout and not have to wait long lines for equipment at Tandy.
I like that you can go on the app and take virtual or live streamed sessions. That there are free activities to sign up for with amazing fitness trainers. There is a wide selection of activities to choose from. You can also walk and do your own workouts at any of the Y @TCC. I really appreciate that they are open Monday through Sunday at certain locations accommodating for the student's work and school schedule. I love the complimentary water, coffee, snacks, towels, and events that are put on for mental health and physical health at wellness health events. You can learn at a beginners pace, intermediate pace, and expert pace. You can also enroll in a monthly membership with standalone ymca's. Keep that in mind this is really for everyone.
Access to many locations not only in Tulsa and around the area, but other states. Equipment is in great condition and many different options for physical conditioning.
