I like that you provide notice when you are planning a service. When the technician arrived, I was in the middle of mowing my lawn, he was pleasant and agreed to drop back in half an hour.

Although your service is scheduled by email. I feel that the prompt timing of application was late that the weed seeding was established before your you were able to make the application. Thus next year will be more established earlier in the season. effecting an earlier seeding. Prompt application before seeding is essential.
