I can not give Mathnasium enough compliments! My daughter has a math disability, dyscalculia, so numbers do not make much sense. The tutors are encouraging, they care about her learning as much as the advanced kids. She loves coming here, even on Saturdays! Can I give a higher score?

My daughter was a good student, but she never felt comfortable with math. I understood math but could never seem to explain in a way that made since to her. So when my wife found Mathnasium, we decided to give it a try and that gamble paid off. Now my daughter feels more comfortable with math and understands what she is doing much better. She has the confidence to tackle new theories and equation that in the past she would be hesitant to solve. And she really likes the process they use to explain how to solve problems. The staff is really nice and welcoming which in turn eases the kids. Really nice environment.👍🏽

My grandson’s math testing revealed that he was two years behind his grade level. After roughly six months of study with MB Mathnasium he is working at or above his grade level. The results speak for themselves and are well worth Grandpa’s financing.

When our son applied to a new school and had to take standardized tests, we found out his school was behind in math. We had him assessed at Mathnasium, and he scored as if he were at the beginning of his school year, instead of at the end where he should have been. After just a few months of tutoring, he took the math placement exam at his new school and placed into the highest math group for his grade! We couldn’t be more pleased with the group at Mathnasium of Mountain Brook. Tracey and the tutors are all are extremely caring, nurturing and professional. Also, the tests they give to assess a child’s knowledge are very specific, so you will know exactly which types of math problems and concepts your child needs help on. Great experience!

Our son was facing being held back a year in school due to challenges he was having in Math although he was doing very well in other curriculum. I engaged Mathnasium for help over the summer & we started recognizing a renewed interest in Math from our son & results soon thereafter. He is still attending Mathnasium while back in school & the tutors there continue to assist with improving his skills & confidence in conjunction with his current math school work. I really appreciate what they’ve done & their pleasant, can-do attitudes with our son.

The people work there are awesome and they are very hands on with helping the student to learn.

My girls love math now! They have been given the confidence and skills needed to make it fun! Plus, they enjoy the entire staff and other participants immensely!

I have to brag on Tracy and Houston. Tracy was so kind to Cooper. Even though he was nervous about getting started, he liked her so much he didn’t want to disappoint or hurt her feelings.

Cooper has Juvenile Arthritis and has missed a significant amount of school days and math practice due to his illness. He has a very low image of himself in regards to math ability.

Cooper was adamant that he wasn’t going to do anything but the testing. I told him that coming in to talk with Houston about his test was required. I prepped Houston on Cooper’s personal strengths and fears in a prior private meeting. When I brought Cooper in, Houston was phenomenal. They talked for an hour. Houston went through Cooper’ test with him and showed him his notebook of exercises. He worked a miracle and totally won Cooper over. Cooper left feeling like there was hope for him to understand the material.

Cooper has been going and sees that it is helping. My goal is for him to regain his confidence and enjoyment of math. I believe he will be able to do that through your program. I give all the credit to Houston and Tracy.

Mathnasium at Mountain Brook Plaza is the best tutoring center in Birmingham. Tracey is so friendly and helpful and all the tutors are kind, knowledgeable and thorough.
