To put it simply, my daughter's skills in math were 'low' and behind. Covid hasn't done us any favours and she had a strong reluctance to practice/ work on her skills at home with us/ independently. She avoided math all together. When we joined Mathnasium, after receiving glowing recommendations from another parent, there was a huge shift in her attitude and mindset! She really looked forward to going to her sessions and made great connections with some of the tutors there, 'hoping she would get paired with certain ones'.
But the entire environment was so positive and welcoming, it was all a positive experience.
Viviene remarked on something last week that made me so happy and proud.
When asked about her hobbies, 'she said math'.
And when she was going to miss a day of school, (as a result of attending a funeral), she asked to go for the first period, so she wouldn't miss math class, since she loves it now!

Very professional passionate people working here. They clearly care for the children and each child's learning ability and style.

Critical thinking and problem solving are a focus. This is crucial, as that is not taught in the school system.

I am confident my child will grow in her math skills, as well as reason and logic.

Hi there! Everything seems to be going great so far. He says he’s going through the pages pretty quickly and they seem relatively easy. I’m wondering if he’s going through the grade 7 curriculum at this point and maybe some of it he understands well. I’m not sure if he’s as challenged as we were expecting at this point? I know it’s early, I just wanted to ask.

Also - for integer work, they were doing it in school, and he was not really understanding adding and subtracting negative numbers. Can you review that topic with him?

My kids have been with Mathnasium for 3 years now. Their math skills are strong and improving all the time. Without Mathnasium they would have missed out on so much skills training during Covid that schools weren’t able to give. I would recommend their program 100%.

My son has ADHD and struggles with school at the best of times. Add in extra schooling, COVID and online learning and he is not a happy boy. BUT, with Mathnasium he doesn’t complain at all. He’s so proud of what he’s accomplishing and his confidence is going up each week. It’s been an amazing experience so far!

My son enjoys his sessions and looks forward to it every time. The online sessions are great, with our busy family schedule it provides us the convenience and flexibility we need. My son is happy learning Math, thank you Mathnasium for making his experience a positive one!

Mathnasium has been a wonderful experience for my son. In a short time he has already benefited from their lessons greatly. He looks forward to seeing Akon and Moustafa and tutoring is not a chore. However by far Gjon has surpassed our expectations. His follow up on my sons progress and ability to taylor the program to meet my sons needs has been most exceptional.

My children (going into grade 5 and 6 in September 2020) have been at Ms. S’ centre since September 2016. We started at the Lakeview location, then moved to the Clarkson location when it opened because it was closer to home. Ms. S and Gjon are very professional, kind and patient. If you register at either one of of their locations, your children will be well taken care of. Mathnasium gives us confidence (and proof) that our children will not struggle in math at school. They will be in the program until they age out of it.

Amazing program that has done a fantastic job continuing to engage our children through remote learning.
