Mathnasium has been fantastic for our two boys! Friends encouraged us to give it a try and it has been really great for our 4th and 6th graders. Our boys look forward to going each week. The tutors are engaging, kind, and are excellent mentors. Our boys like that a lot of the tutors are high school age students excelling in math. They find them relatable and easy to communicate with. Matthew and Lindsey run a solid program. We highly recommend it!

My children have been participating in the Mathnasium summer program for the past 5 years and absolutely love it. It has definitely provided them with a solid math foundation that has helped them excel above and beyond in school.
We knew our son was advanced in math in first grade when he could easily do his 3rd grade brother’s homework. We took both of our boys to Mathnasium to test where they were at in math. Both were ahead of their grade. My older son stayed for about a year or so, was able to skip 5th grade math and was happy to be a year ahead. My younger son decided to stay in Mathnasium because he loved the extra math. In 3rd grade he was placed in 5th math. In 4th grade (in 6th grade math) he decided he wanted to skip prealgebra so he worked extra hard at Mathnasium, and now as a 5th grader he is currently in Algebra, with his big brother, and is rocking it. He is happy with his accomplishments and he wants to keep accelerating. He looks forward to going to Mathnasium. This place has really helped him grow into the awesome kid he is and we couldn’t be happier with the time he’s spent here.
We use Mathnasium for both tutoring and enrichment for the needs of each of my children. They’re all learning so much and gaining confidence all of the time. They look forward to going to each session, which is a huge win!
Mathnasium is great! I have three kids, who have needed extra help, have needed more of a challenge than their school provided, or needed to prepare for outside testing. Mathnasium has something for everyone. The staff is very helpful, and the covid protocols make me feel safe about bringing my kids to the center.

It would be nice to get actual notes from the instructors from time to time, to help me understand where he is doing well (and why) and what he could use more work on.

My daughter, who was struggling in third grade math, not only achieved a 99% (!) improvement rate in four months on her school standardized Math Assessment but really enjoyed and looked forward to attending Mathnasium each week. To have her look forward to doing Math was extraordinary but to see the massive improvement as well was phenomenal. Thanks to Sonny and his team for their efforts.

I am very impressed w/ how Mathnasium in Guilford pivoted so quickly to remote tutoring. My son actually seems to prefer this platform, at least for now. I think it is going really well. The only element missing is that clear linkage w/ his math homework issues and getting help directly with the typical math packets. However I have confidence he continues to progress along the spectrum of typical match units he needs to learn as a 7th grader. I think math, in particular, is probably one of the harder subjects to teach remotely during the pandemic. My son loves all the instructors- they do a great job building relationships and making my son feel like he is talking to someone familiar. If he sees the teachers out and about in town he lights up - "there's so and so from Mathnasium!" It has been a really good investment since we joined, even before the pandemic but especially now.
The Mathnasium learn at home program is practically as good as Mathnasium itself. You don’t have to drive to Mathnasium-learn-at home. The only bad thing about it is that there are no treats!:) That is the opinion of my ten year old son Aleks. I’m 100 percent agree with him:).
Matthew and the team at Guilford Mathnasium really helped my son turn around his algebra grade. He was failing and now he is a B+. The teacher called me last week to rave about how well he is doing. Thank you very much!!!
