The proximity to home. The friendliness of staff. The variety of programs
Easy to get into we love being in tha line dancing people there are very friendly
You have something for everyone.
I enjoyed the classes I have attended. I mostly play pickleball and have used the exercise equipment. People are so friendly and polite. Some people are competitive in pickleball and at times have had to tell them it is just for fun. But have made so many friends at the Clermont YMCA. We now acknowledge birthdays for those that have provided them and bring baked goods. Have attended funerals of players whose parents have passed and even attended Williamsburg 250 years event with other pickleball players. The recent storm left many without power and downed trees and we helped those in need. I should have taken pictures of the pickleball players supporting others.
Everything classes instructor staff always clean meeting new friends
There are so many to chose from.

Good afternoon. I have been taking BodyPump classes at the Clermont YMCA on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for the past few months and have enjoyed them immensely. For some reason, the Monday class has been dropped from the schedule. I'm guessing that is because Cheryl Higham has returned to her teaching position and can no longer teach on Mondays.
Since Lynn Arnold teaches the Tuesday & Thursday BodyPump classes, I am aware that she is available to teach the Monday class as well. I hope that she will be tapped to do so as it is a popular class and she is a great instructor. I would be very disappointed not to be able to continue with the Monday class at the Clermont Y. I am not interested in any other Y location.
I hope to see BodyPump back on the schedule starting August 24. Thank you for your consideration.
Programs that promote exercise as well as community-such as Lynn’s classes. Good variety of classes, specifically for senior members in the am. Classes in the pm are work well for the younger group.
Programs such as popcorn Friday, Lunches for variety of occasions, celebrations specifically for our Clermont Y.

The friendly members I meet.
Al MyY classes are wonderful. The signing up for these classes is a big problem. In some cases you have maybe a minute to sign up. While 31 other classmates are signing up in that minute also. Many people have problems with this system. You need to come up with a better solution. More classes mainly on the Silver Sneakers classic classes. Thankyou.
Also recently the Y took one of the Silver Sneakers classes on Mondays away from Lynn Arnold and gave it to a very young trainer. She has caused several leg injuries because she does to many repetitions using those same muscles way to often. Lynn Arnold usually only does 8 repetitions at a time. The new trainer Megan is doing upto 3 times that many repetitions. Ive been going to the Y for maybe 7 years now. And the Monday silver sneakers classic class has alot of leg muscle injuries from her classes.
It’s geared for all ages

I like having experienced, professional, dependable instructors for the group exercise classes. I also like when there are a variety of classes to choose from that serve the most members. Lately, that has been changing, and I have had conversations with higher ups who say it will not be changing back. It still seems foolish and hard-headed. For example, we lost our 9 am Monday cardio kickboxing class because our instructor "teaches too many classes and what would they do if something happened to her", so they got rid of that class and put some other class in that slot. That class is now canceled because the lady who was teaching it cannot do it anymore. Now, they have no one to teach, EXCEPT why not bring back the cardio kickboxing class and the instructor that was teaching it to begin with???? This class was extremely popular with the members at Clermont YMCA, and we would love to have it back. Hopefully, someday they will realize what a valuable staff member they have in our instructor (Lynn) and treat her as such. Instead of teaching all of her classes, she is now at the front desk, where her talents and training are not being put to good use. Please fix this. We members love our Y and we would like to keep the classes and instructors that we have. Also, you need way more sections of Silver Sneakers. Those poor people are going to great ends to get into the classes you do have. This is even more amplified by the fact that, in order to take a Silver Sneakers class from Lynn, you moved an instructor out to Clermont from Lyons. This made Lyons short on classes for them, so they are now trying to get into the class at Clermont. This is all so crazy and the changes don't seem to be working out so well. We really need someone to LISTEN TO THE MEMBERS. Please.
