Member Testimonials
Variety of classes, big weights in weight room, almost NO TVs, really like how few TVs there are.
Excellent water fitness classes in teaching pool for adults both in shallow and deep water. Deep water classes focus on cardio/respiratory conditioning and body strengthening with no impact to knees or hips. Deep water classes provide a safe exercise alternative for members in rehab post surgery of knee or hip. Both shallow and deep water classes are offered daily during the day/night. Teaching pool temperature is warm which benefits members with arthritis. Great way to burn calories for any age.
Love our CrossFit coach, Maggie!
Attend the Senior Fitness Class... wish they weren't so crowded though...you may need to offer more time options. Nice to have child watch...have used twice when babysitting my grandkids! However, is there something for older kids? My 10 year old really hate hanging with his 4 year old brother and all those little kids....
professional facility
So many choices and the people and staff are very friendly and helpful
Good times, great teachers, clean facilities!
Everything
I would rather have 45 minute classes instead of 60 minute classes. Sixty minute is just too long for me.
Thank you,

The instructors are awesome!!!
We love the variety. I can do my dance class several days a week. My children can swim, while my husband can use the weight machines and treadmill. Something for everyone.
As a Senior I am pleased with the classes.
My wife and I love the 'Y'. If it wasn't for this wonderful facility I wouldn't be properly trained for the Ironman on May 19, '24. The Masters swim coach Zac Adams has an ace workout ethic that strains my body to the core. I went from no swimming in 50 years to 1.5 miles 3 months later at a decent pace. Spin coaches, Tina, Jen and Stephanie are task masters, but kind and friendly. We LOVE the Lifecycle treadmills and weight machines, all of which are new. The staff are friendly, always welcoming. The family plan recognizes LGBTQ+ people and so far, no problems. Best workout place I've ever been to, and I've been to plenty.
Free weights, machines.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, exercise equipment is well maintained and replaced with new and improved equipment on a timely basis. Building is always clean and well maintained.
Clean facilities and very courteous staff! I wish there was an old school step aerobics class offered nut that is my only complaint.
My favorite aspects of the downtown YMCA are the variety of classes that are offered, the multiple spaces throughout the building to work out and the sauna! I also appreciate the layout of the spaces which allows many people to be working out at the same time and it doesn’t feel over crowded. The whole building is always so well kept and you’re consistently greeted with a smile.
Lots of activities for kids, a variety of classes for myself, and the trainers & staff are awesome
I like the instructors who lead my classes. I hope they are paid well!
