The child care is amazing. My 2 children love going to the Y and the staff is nothing short of amazing. I love that I can take my kids and know they are taken care of while I’m taking care of myself! I love the classes that are offered and the variety of machines on the weight floor. I tell all my mom friends, the YMCA is the place to be!

I must say that the staff is absolutely amazing. The staff at the front desk (LeRae, Ellen and Kellie) were very helpful when I needed to update my membership. All are very kind and helpful during this process.
Nina Kyle is the best instructor and she has created a small family with her groups that is so comforting.
All in all the Y is a very special place with greet people.
So many options and times. Amazing instructors and trainers. "Y Family" atmosphere.

The facility is luxurious in comparison to other YMCA’s, I love that you kept the Christian faith that the YMCA was founded on, the instructors are very kind and helpful, the music that’s played in the group fitness classes is descent. I’ve been to another facility in another city where the instructors are allowed to play music with satanic messages. In the waiting/study room is class A!, Your free coffee is nice. Whoever complains about this facility needs to go elsewhere and see the difference!

I like the yoga class. It was extra hard this week and I couldn't do a lot but I tried to do what I can. Although it is really tight space and the guy next to me may have not showered for a bit or washed his clothes - so there is that.
Front staff is really nice. Parking isn't great but it is downtown.
I like that there are plant based options in the vending machine.

Variety of classes
The atmosphere is great. Really like the youth programs and the child watch program. Exercise equipment and facilities are really good. Would be nice if there was more open gym time for those wanting to come in and work on basketball skills and other things. Don't really understand why the rates are cheaper for a 30 year old than they are for 50 year old. If you inclined to give special rates, maybe they should be for those with physical and/or mental impairments. An explanation for how all the rates are determined would be greatly appreciated.
You have a lot of classes for my child to participate in throughout the week as I work out. I love the Mommy and me which allows us to workout together. It helps promote healthy households. I also love all the workout classes you offer for adults. It allows me to mix up my workouts and make it fun! Thanks!

The workers at the YMCA are very professional. You will meet a ton of friends. The YMCA in downtown Chattanooga is more than a workout center. They have a true mission in assisting people. I have been part of many YMCA’s, but the downtown Chattanooga YMCA is by far the best.
