I have been a member of the YMCA since I was a young mother in Waterbury, CT. I was in my late 30's. I am now in my early 60's. I have moved a few times to different towns in CT & moved to MD 12 yrs ago. I have been a longtime faithful member for approximately 25 yrs, maybe more. I truly enjoy coming to the Y & seeing all the positive things they do to help young children, mentally impaired children & adults, the elderly & everyday ppl who are in-between. I will always remain a member. If there comes a day I can't do the things I love doing @ the YMCA, I will volunteer for something I am capable of doing. God willing... 😂 I love the YMCA! My name is Ashley , I am new to the Y ! I have a 10 yr old son named Brody and he is also new to the Y ! As soon as we came in the Towson location building we were greeted with smiles and welcoming voices . We were set up right away and given a tour as soon as our profiles were made . My son was really ecstatic about the indoor pool and gym , where as I was excited about the Pilates & resources . Today is gonna be our 3rd time I think going and I can’t wait since my son has been begging me to take him , it is gonna be a blast !! Also , I asked them for any recourses for food while waiting for my own recourses to follow through and they helped us !!! I was so shocked they took me and my son to the back and let us pick out some things for me to cook , I almost cried from the help and love I felt from the YMCA staff !! This is THE BEST ca and we thank you for giving us a warm welcome and having us apart of the YMCA family !

The employees are always there to help, they are really interested in your individual needs.
I take a multitude of group X classes, and love the instructors. I like the variety and the Y works closely with us to address any concerns. The play area for kids is great. The administration is very creative in their agenda for extra events. They go out of their way to serve the community.

Great classes with great instructors. And a decent membership fee.
Just wish there were a 2nd outdoor pool in the Towson area. Pasadena pool is always crowded with sometimes a waiting line to get in. Not pleasant with upsetting kids.
