My experience at the Y in Druid Hill is thrilling and an opportunity to build relationship in a historic community. The conversation and support for members and associates alike are one of a kind that is genuine and fulfilling for any member to experience. From the time you enter the facility upon leaving, the staff and volunteers are eager to represent themselves and the institution with respect and pride overall.
I love the staff and instructors at the Druid Hill Y. It's got a great family atmosphere and the stay and play staff provide exceptional care to our little ones.
I have, however, been frustrated lately by the disconnect between member needs and management. They keep renting out the main fitness room on the busiest day of the week. This Y doesn't have an abundance of class or room options like other centers.
It just goes to show how the new manager is extremely out of touch with what actually goes on in the center. Wednesday night class is the most attended class of the week, yet he finds it more important to rent the room than support the members who have been loyal to this Y for years.

A great place to be for friends, community and family. A great staff at the Druid Y. Sometimes, I like to come to just to relax and talk to the staff and meet new people or watch TV because I always feel welcome and at home. There is always something new going on in a positive way and the freedom to enjoy yourself; oh, I won't forget the snacks and coffee are the greatest and the pantry on Tuesday and Saturday. Thank you all.

Hello, my name is Name removed, I am a member of the Y. My experience at the y has been awesome, I love to go there when I can, when you feel like you want to be involved in something so great, the Y is the place to be. I am so happy I had joined, I would recommend for anybody to join, the Y is great for all ages, and for the Y to be with the community it is so great, helping people, and especially with the children. My experience has been like no other, it's wonderful. I have to envloved my self more with other activities there, I love to swim, and I also do food pantry when I come there. I love the water, just to get into the pool is feels great. Overall, me joining the Y has been so thankful, and I appreciate the Y, the staff for all they do, and thanks for having many centers where people of all ages can go to, the Y is the place.

What I like MOST about the Druid Hill Family Y is Shakira, Fern, Antonio, Calvin, Myron, André, Lyndsy, Justin and several of the "regular" members I see every other day, who have become friends.
New member I would highly recommend the Y to seniors. The cost is reasonable and they have classes that help with body movement as one ages the body begins to slow down and the muscles and bones stiffens
Night time Classes
The staff is very friendly and helpful to new members. I recently moved to the area and joined the Y. Upon my first visit the gentlemen at the front door helped me get my ID and showed me around the center. My grandchildren and I had a great time in the pool. I will be back once I get settled in.
