As for the Y I do wish it remembered its roots and was still affordable for families. To not even offer time slots for non-members to pay to swim is a shame. Especially in an area that does not have many public pools. I would think for as much as I pay for swim lessons my child and I could at least stay and play in the water for the day of the lesson.
The Y has been very accepting of my son with Down Syndrome and he loves going with his support staff.

Our experience has been great. Our tour guide was was extremely nice and informative. We really like the youth based activities for our daughter.
I just go to swim. I do wish there were more times to swim; usually the swimteam is using the pool in the evenings. Weekends seem to be the only option.
Physical and mental therapy - just good fun at the pool - I go as often as I can and fel better after every swim fit sessionš

There are always machines available. The pool is clean and the area is warm and comfortable.havenāt yet had a chance to take a class due to so many weather cancellations.

With new machines in Fitness Center, there are ample opportunities to work out. The center is becoming more crowded and not as much room to do stretching and floor exercises.

My son has loved his art class. He looks forward to it every week. He feels like he can be creative and its boosting his confidence. We will plan to sign up for other classes too.
The class was great and the facilitator Rebecca was terrific with the children. My child First name removed is on the shy side but she brought out the best in him. Mucho otoscope my success and happiness after only the 1st session First name removed was so excited he asked when he could go back . Rebecca was very patient and engaging with the children.
She had music playing in the background all time and she would be sure each child was participating in the activities by engaging in the activities herself. She was always giving the children positive reinforcement until they get their coats on and get out the door. Everyone at the Y is courteous and helpful , starting with the personnel at the front door.
Needless to say it was a great experience and we have signed up for another session
