I have been participating in the YMCA experience ever since I was born. As an infant I started with mom and me swim classes and later participated in other sports.i also went to camp every summer at the Y and now I mentor through the Y. The YMCA has been and integral part of my upbringing and I have enjoyed it each and every step of my life. I'm fortunate to have been able to participate in programs like this which helped me to build confidence, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and develop great moral character and for this i am thankful and are honored and feel compelled to now be able to mentor the youth of the future.
My Y experience has been very instrumental in my family and my life, it contributes to our personal growth and bought us closer together.

My y experience has been great. They are transparent about the program, staff, and volunteers. I also like that they involve the students and parents in various events that the y has. My child has been apart of the y for 2 years now and he enjoys it.

I love everything about the Y & all of its programs! I’ve been with them over 5 years! Great kids, great staff, fun & amazing experiences always!
I appreciate that the YMCA supports the big brothers / big sisters mentoring program. With my husband a disabled veteran, it gives our kids the chance to do some things that are very hard to do as a family. Without family in the area, it also gives our kids a chance to do things with someone focused on their interests. The Mentor's support and care when Dad has been in the hospital has also been encouraging. The mentors have been creative and excellent with finding opportunities that help the kids pursue their interests as well.
Being able to use the YMCA has been a huge help and something that we could not otherwise afford, especially with the pandemic. I appreciate that the staff insists on covid precautions. Being able to get the kids out of the house for healthy exercise in a safe environment has been wonderful.
Thank you for making this program available. It's truly been a blessing for our family.
