Client Testimonials
I recently practiced with Cat on Tuesday, 7/11/17. I LOVE her classes! She teaches technique and doesn't just have you go through the flow. For example, a chattarunga... the most basic move we do. She broke this down from high push up, to the angle of bend in your arms, to keeping your hips, thighs and belly off the ground to upward facing dog and then to pushing back into downward facing dog. Every time I felt my triceps on Wednesday, I silently thanked her. This isn't the first time she has taught technique over flowing with the motions... she does this ALL the time and in every class, she will pin point a pose and keep you mindful of your body each time you work it. In this same class, we worked backbends and crow pose technique as well. It's so rejuvenating. <3 She is a true yoga teacher, not just a flow instructor.
I like the instruction and I love having an extra helper to help with poses and a little extra stretch. I would like the instructors to let the class know if there are more challenging alternatives, ex. Side Crow, head stand, etc., or the other way around for someone who might be a beginner.
Sarah reminded me this past Monday why I love coming to 502- it's my "safe place". She shares stories from her life, making the practice feel more personable because you can relate and reflect. Yoga isn't just a practice on your mat, but a tool you can take into the real world and that has helped me tremendously to be a better person to the people I surround myself on a daily basis! Simply living more mindfully.

I love that this studio is all about balance and all of the instructors truly embrace that. Every class is a balance of effort and ease, of where you are today and where you want to go, of physical ability and mental clarity. The instructors are always friendly and encouraging, but really push you to go further. The classes specifically are also a great balance between structure and flexibility - I like that the classes clearly always have a rhythm and you can normally predict which pose comes next, but also love that sometimes you walk in and the instructor is in the mood to teach a new variation or throws in a pose I haven't tried in a while. I have yet to feel like I've plateaued and always leave 502 feeling like I've improved or learned something new.
Becca Washer is the BOMB.com!
The reason I tell anyone to try 502 Power Yoga is because of the friendly helpful staff and warm inviting space to practice. Happy vibes had by all in the room.
I loved that they were very welcoming! My first class there was amazing because of the environment and instructors!
I am very impressed with how each instructor is able to guide me much deeper into my practice. In only 4 classes I have had several significant breakthroughs and feel like my practice is reignited and is transcending what I thought it could be . I am filled with gratitude and look forward to my next class.
I love all of the instructors and appreciate the variety and different perspectives. Some are great with imagery, or explaining poses, and others and great motivators!
Yod with Jamie is the best!! Mimi is great too
Very very friendly and professional but casual. Knowledgeable and informative.
They have a rhythm when they speak that is comforting and soothing, like they are very experience. They cater to everyone's needs, and know how to improve even the smallest things with people.
I appreciate their enthusiasm, and passion for yoga and instructing others.
I was intimidated because I've only done yoga a few times and its been years. Once class started, that feeling went away. She was really helpful giving instruction and alternatives.
loved it!
I am fairly new and the instructors moved about the room throughout the entire class and were very helpful with adjusting my form when necessary.
While the format of class is consistent, each 502 instructor brings their own gifts and insights to make every class unique and challenging. I leave every class feeling uplifted and inspired.
What do I like most? Let's see, I love their competence, their knowledge of the subject, I love the way they push me (gently yet firm), I would never work myself that hard, I don't have the discipline.
I love their energy, their smiles, the way they made me feel comfortable when I was a beginner.
But mostly, they make it fun, and it is changing my life!
Class today with Jamie was amazing - pushed to the limit while staying within JIP
I attend recovery yoga. Rebecca really ia an awesome instructor.
I like the vibe of the studio. Really good energy. People seem genuine and love yoga.
Good flow in the practice, offered corrections, seemed very knowable.
Stephanie Kersting is rock solid, my mind was off that morning but she was great for refocusing my intention. Music was great, I sweat a lot (which is good), and she pushed us well. In general the only thing that was missing from the class was ujjayi breathe. She did remind us often to fill that space with ujjayi breathing, it just never happened — BUT I'd probably attribute most of that to it being Friday flow and the music making it hard to breath with my neighbor. But TBH, I have two favorite instructors and Stephanie is one of them, so I'm not mad at it. The class was rad.
They always kick my butt
Friendly and helpful. Very sociable. Explained everything, and was very informative.
Everything! The direction, the inspirational words, the smile, the greeting. I feel this way about ALL the instructors.
I really liked that she was consistent with her language that helps with remembering the poses and the fact she was playful and moved around the studio to check everyone's form, great teaching technique that way that can address everyone and reach all yogi's:)
Fantastic supports and great tips to help my practice progress. Always welcoming, smiles on their faces and sending positive vibes. Love this community! Thanks for everything you all do!

Very helpful and knowledgeable.

I love how knowledgeable the instructors are as well as how there is someone there to help assist. The lavender rags at the end are amazing as well. It's challenging and keeps me motivated and level headed
