Everything it's a awesome place and very good for family members to enjoy with very nice equipment with a place for kids too so much to do if you bored
I like everything except the loud music played over the speakers. I think we can do without, completely. I personally prefer the sound of the machines than blaring music as it prevents me from focusing, or hearing the music that I actually like to listen to on the headphones. It seems that anyone that wants to listen to something uses a headphone. I’m not taking about the classes, but the weight lifting and cardio machine areas. Thank you.
I would love to see more yoga classes available. Also, the jacuzzi tub is often dirty and water level is low.
I love the atmosphere of the Y and the program you offer. As a person with a disability, the y offer a chance for me to improve my mental health and keep me active.
something for all ages. instructors are top nitch
Variety
So many options for optimal health
The variety of classes offered keeps me from getting bored of the same exercise routine
I like the group classes. There is a great variety. I also like the diversity of the instructors.
I love the dance classes like sh'bam and zumba as well as the pound classes. I am interested in starting to use the pool as well. Thanks!
I participate in the Enhance Fitness nd chair Yoga classes taught by Sarah Early Recently I have started the Go-Lo Class taught by Leah.
Rather than write in paragraphs, I will submit a list of my feelings about these:
Appropriately challenging
Flexible and adaptable for the needs of class members
Thorough knowledge of exercise physiology. Varies exercises and gives explanations for the reasoning behind each
Each class is a warm and welcoming experience for regular attendees and new participants
Classes are filled with laughter and encouragement
Sarah is a wonderful asset to the Y and deserves accolades for her instruction and commitment.
The new class with Leah is fun and energizing and promises to be a beneficial addition to to programs and the Y.
It’s a clean, safe environment. Has many activity’s which more than covers all the bases that most people look for in a community health and wellness facility/center. And best of all! It’s walking distance from my home.
While I do not currently use any programs or activities, I do support them being available for especially youth. I only work out three times a week but enjoy those times and the great friendships I have developed over the years at the Kirk YMCA.
