Mathnasium was a great experience. There is an evaluation process at the beginning to determine where your child will begin, from there they put together a curriculum where all the deficits were and they begin learning. Shawn is a huge advocate of mental math!!! A skill we could all use a little help with. Mathnasium gave my daughter the confidence that she needed, not only in math, but knowing it was "OK" to ask questions. Great, great experience!
In the short 2.5 months my son attended, he was able to increase his math mark from 52% to finish the course with at 67%. We can’t thank Sean and his team enough. The confidence he now has will carry him in the years to come.

My son is in grade 9 and is NOT the academic type....and does not like school. When I picked him up after his first session at Mathnasium, I was pleasantly surprised to hear that he liked it.
He went a bunch of times and never balked about having to go....which is huge for a teenager!
He was instructed well and was happy... I would reccomend Mathnasium on that basis, and on the fact that they are very reasonably priced.
The staff and owner in Kitchener is very patient and understanding of my child's feelings and frustrations over her need for help and getting stuck on questions. They helped to build confidence in the knowledge she already had and showed her how to use it to work through problems on her own. They have a reward program and special treats that for the children to make it more fun and encourage then to come back even after a difficult or frustrating day.
I would recommend the Kitchener Fairway location for anyone to bring their child.
