Good learning environment

Brad Pethel at the Beachwood, OH center has gone above and beyond normal tutoring duties by meeting with teachers and staff at my son's school. He has made sure that the learning plan at mathnasium is mirroring what is being worked on at school. My son has dyscalculia - so Brad has observed the teachers at my son's school to mimic their teaching methods in the center. Math is very difficult for my son, but since our time at mathnasium, he is starting to improve his test scores.

My daughter is 10. She loves coming here. The staff is very nice and pleasant. Mr Brad and Rajani are loving people. and works well with children from various cultures and backgrounds My daughter has a better understanding with her math and she looks forward to coming everyday. Kai loves working with Mr Jason because he helps her understand math concepts and she can identify with him because he is in a band and Kai loves music too. Kai loves Ms Christine too she has lots of patience and helps her focus too. I appreciate that my daughter can learn in a nice safe setting where the children can focus and enjoy math. Mathnasium is great place for kids to get the extra help and encouragement they need. Not only is our daughter learning but she is having fun too! The reward system is extra encouragement on top of all of the praise from the staff. There is some friendly competition too which helps the kids work harder for the prizes. Our daughter would really be struggling right now if we hadn't started coming since the beginning of the school year and she is doing very well because of Mathnasium. Everyone is warm and welcoming and there is a great atmosphere for learning here. What a blessing and what a difference we have seen in our daughter's math skills!. Thanks Mathnasium!

I met with Alia’s school teacher the other day and she mentioned alia is especially doing great in Math and absolutely loves it. She’s ahead of everyone else in class and the credit for this primarily goes to Mathnasium. She’s always excited to go for her sessions and during the day she often talks about numbers which means she’s very interested in math and I love that.
The only thing that can be improved is communicating the progress/ status to the parents more proactively. I can honestly say I don’t know what she’s working on exactly and how she’s doing/ what she needs to do better, practice more etc.. if I know it better, I can practice the same at home with her. I would love quick 5-10 min meetings with someone who knows her progress once a month. I can’t talk to the teachers there as there’s a different teacher each time and they only talk about that particular session. In addition, the report I got says she’s mastered 3 out of 10 topics. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or she should’ve mastered more by that time. So more proactive communication to parents (esp for younger kids) is definitely an area of improvement in my opinion.

My daughters experience has been fabulous since her joining Mathnesium 2018 summer. She is not afraid of math. She is enjoying math at a very young age as a result she will always be comfortable with numbers. My wife and I personally believe Mathensium is building the bridge between the Sydney and math to overcome the fear of this subject. Kudos to the great team!

My daughter has been going to Mathnasium for about 2 years now—and her relationship with math has nearly completely transformed from a hate-hate relationship to one where she gets a good number of concepts without so much of a struggle. Sure, she still struggles, but that’s all a part of learning, I think. Without Mathnasium, she would be in a much worse place and her dad and I would be in an uphill battle with trying to get her the help she needs to succeed.

Mathnasium gives my daughter confidence in her math abilities!

My children learned and gained a lot of confidence in their math skills. Brad and Rajani are fantastic and are so supportive of the students. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to develop a love for math in their children!

My daughter looked forward to each session she took over the summer. When asked why, she said that it was fun and easier to understand. She also looked forward to the math games at the end of the sessions and even asked for one for her birthday!

I liked how much material she seemed to master in a short period of time. I feel more confident at she is well prepared for the start of school.

My daughter seems to enjoy the sheets, and now prints some out at home and has made a binder for herself and little sister. I really wish we could only do 2x/wk and that we could afford to send both girls. Maybe someday.

Brad came up on a day Mathnasium was closed and assessed my kid and told us all about the center. It was very nice of him to go above and beyond. Scheduling is easy online and flexible.

Mathnasium has been great for our son! He has a much better understanding of math, and is now on grade level!

Over the past year and a half that my daughter has been going to Mathnasium, she has regained her confidence to do well in math and GAINED the skills she wasn’t taught properly in 3rd grade! She was even able to raise her grade in Math from a C to an A! She’s now going into 5th grade with the skills and confidence she needs to continue doing well, and she LOVES going to Mathnasium!

We just love the place! My kids never complain about going. They actually have fun. Both kids are above grade level. Brad is just awesome. Knows all the kids by name and greets them all. We are definitely getting value for the money we spend.
