I loved that from step one the evaluation Huntington was able to pinpoint exactly where my child needed help. We developed out a plan together. I finally felt heard about my concerns and that there was a clear path to get my child feeling more confident and up to date with peers. The monthly progress reports helped not only keep me informed but always ways in which I could provide additional support at home.
Great tutors and good at realizing what the student needs to reach their own goals. My son is a young adult studying for asvab. This is the first time he’s excited about learning and is making progress.
We live some ways away from the facility, and so, my daughter does virtual tutoring. Her tutor, Tracy, is so sweet, understanding, and helpful. She helps my daughter feel excited to learn even when things feel hard. Tracy cheers her on when she has successes and coaches her through any struggles. I wasn't sure how virtual tutoring was going to work, but Tracy has made it easy for me and my daughter.

My daughter was struggling with reading, and avoided it at all costs. She fell behind in school and just couldn't catch up no matter how hard I worked with her. We enrolled her in Huntington, and we have seen a large improvement in her ability and confidence.
After working with her in both reading and math skills her STAR test at school went up significantly and she now has the confidence to work through her classwork with little help.
We are only 1/2 way through her enrollment and are very satisfied with the results we are seeing.

Huntington is literally the best thing that has ever happened to my daughter’s academic success. They are kind, very accommodating, and gave my daughter, the strength, knowledge and confidence to change her entire perspective on learning. She went from having pretty bad grades to just graduating her freshman year with all A’s and B’s.

I’ll begin by saying I never write reviews, but my experience has been so positive at Huntington Learning Center, for both me and my granddaughter, I felt the need to share in case you’re looking for a learning center for your child. Huntington checks all the boxes when looking for good people to surround your child with to help them on their educational path. I chose Huntington based on all the great reviews, and they have not disappointed. So I hope you’ll take my review as it is intended, which is to help you make a good decision for your child. The first thing that comes to my mind is the PEOPLE. WOW are they nice!! Not only to my granddaughter, but also to me. They know her name and always say hello to her when she comes in. You’ll meet Lisa, the Director which will help you get your child started at Huntington. She was the first person I met and she has been so welcoming. If I have any concerns Lisa is always there to listen and give advice. I value her opinion. She’s been a delight to get to know. Thank you Lisa for EVERYTHING. Then there’s Peter in the front office too, he’s so calm and pleasant with the students as well. Always willing to help with anything and does it with a smile. Thank you Peter. Jacob does the scheduling among other things. God bless him. I’m sure trying to schedule for teachers, and around kids lives can be a daunting job. But Jacob does it with ease and kindness. Plus he’s so personable with the kids. Jacob gave my granddaughter her assessment. When we left that day I asked her how it went. She said Mr. Jacob was so nice and patient. If I didn’t know an answer he said that’s ok, we’ll come back to it, and he said it so nicely my granddaughter said. Thank you Jacob. Ms. Sharon is my granddaughter’s teacher. OMG she is WONDERFUL!! A quiet, caring, kind, encouraging soul that always meets my granddaughter with a smile. My granddaughter goes 3 days a week, and after she’s had a long day at school too. But she never complains, because she knows she’s going to a place where people welcome her and she feels at home. Thank you Huntington. Sometimes we lose our self confidence when we’re struggling in school, but at Huntington, the people there build that back up, just by being positive with my granddaughter, and truly “seeing” her. The other night I watched my granddaughter read to her little cousin and mimic her teacher. She was sounding out the words so her cousin could find the picture with the SH sound in it. It made me smile from ear to ear. I knew she was being Ms. Sharon. Thank you Ms. Sharon for being such a positive role model for my granddaughter. The first part of the hurdle when you’re child is struggling, is to get them with positive people. If you don’t have that, your child will never learn. At Huntington Learning Center, you have that and so much more. I was excited to write this review to let other parents/grandparents know there is help for your child, and when they’re finished with their program, you too will be writing a review to further help others. My grandchild’s education is very important to me. I want her to succeed in life and we all know, there are times we need a little help, and that’s ok. You will not only get their educational issues resolved, but at the same time their self confidence will be thriving as well, because of the wonderful people you’re child will be interacting with. I know this was long, but Huntington deserves a 100% honest review. When I run across a business that goes beyond what’s expected, I want to let people know. Don’t hesitate to call Huntington for a consultation. You will be glad you did, and I hope in some small way I helped you with that. What I get from it, is knowing I helped another child be surrounded by kind, caring, positive, uplifting people that wants your child to succeed too.

We are especially grateful for Betsy, the director, whose responsiveness, professionalism, and commitment to each student's needs is outstanding. She takes the time to ensure that programs are personalized and that families are informed.
HLC has helped my daughter with ACT preparation, subject-area tutoring, and most recently, college essay writing. They have been flexible as her needs have changed. The guidance and encouragement she is currently receiving to prepare her for college and beyond is invaluable. For a variety of reasons, there have been some gaps in her education and HLC is filling them.
