The ladies who clean the house are thorough, pleasant and willing to do extra tasks. Suggestion: It is imperative, though, to be sure that enough ladies come to clean the house. Expecting one lady to do the whole house is difficult.

Scent, shine, & overall appearance
I've been using Merry Maids for several years now. I am usually very pleased. Occasionally things slip through the cracks. When we were there in February recently, I had specifically asked that two beds be made up with flannel sheets. When we arrived, no beds were made which was a slight inconvenience as we got in late and were tired from our flight. No biggie. Also, I had asked for a deeper clean that time and for the extra money I spent, I really didn't see that much of a difference.
Overall, I am generally pleased with the group.
