My young gelding got really sick with Pneumonia but did not show any signs of distress for as long as he had it brooding in there. I noticed his weightloss, general malais and edema and other symptoms after having been gone for a week and called the vet for him. Bloodwork revealed a massive infection with a 20K whitecount, elevated HR, BPM, edema ect., Pneumonia with Pleural effusions ect. the vet expected his blood protein levels to be very low judging by the edema, it was'nt the case. He also lacked any other signs of pneumonia normally present, all in all, judging by what he is dealing with, he held up amazingly good. Vet asked me what I fed him and besides other good food he gets he takes his Platinum every day. Vet thought that without the supplement he would not be standing here today. Of course now we have to gain all that weight lost due to his infection, temperature and fighting pneumonia. I have heard from training facilities that the horses with Platinum withstand infections that seem to go around and effect other horses from time to time. Every Platinum horse ususally just bypasses whatever goes around. Well now I have proof it works for him too. We are mending, I should probably take before and after pictures to see his recovery with Platinum. He has 300lbs to go
