My son, a 9th grader, starter at Mathnasium, West Loop location, a month ago. April 2018. He has always struggled with math. He says that this is really helping him with understanding some of the concepts he missed. He enjoys going here and we are looking forward to him excelling in math.

I like how the center gets the children engaged. I also like how you get a homework packet for the kids to work on throughout the week. The follow up emails are nice as well. Name removed

My daughter really enjoys attending Mathnasium, and we appreciate the flexibility of the drop-in rather than fixed sessions.

The tutoring was a fun experience for our child. She looked forward to attending and worked well with many of the teachers.

My child asks to go, loves going. She likes the instructors very much. Test scores at school have gone from Ds and Cs to Bs and As.

It's only been a month, but my son enjoys going in every single day. He tells me the tutors are smart and nice, and the overall environment is both casual and organized. As a former CPS teacher, that's a great combination for kids to do their work without feeling stressed out. My only complaint would be that the tutors must skim through some of the homework problems since my son has still gotten points off for mistakes.

I was wondering as a parent, how can I get more visibility on what my child is learning weekly? I know there is a binder but I don't get to review it. Is there a portal I can access to review his progress? Also if daily hours can be extended slightly longer window, that would be helpful.

Elizabeth is happy and excited to come a few times each week (you may have noticed she wears the red t-shirt almost every time!). She is SUPER motivated by the prizes - so keep those coming and shake them up now and then. She would love to see a rubics cube in there and small Lego building kits (some are as inexpensive as $5).
My only thought for improvement would be to make the parent waiting area a bit larger and/or more comfortable for reading and doing email (the chairs get very uncomfortable after 20-30 minutes). I know many parents do not wait, but sometimes I have nothing I can get done in 1 hour (can barely get home and back). I don't mind waiting as I catch up on my fun reading time - but the waiting area is too small and chairs uncomfortable. But the Math program is GREAT (sorry to complain about the chairs - such a small thing to worry about but thought you'd like to know).

My child loves coming to Mathnasium! All the staffs are friendly and energetic and trying to make the learning environment fun. The only thing I was hoping is the hours of operations. I hope you guys can open on Fridays and Sundays. And also extend Saturday hours, like 11-4pm or 10-2pm.

All 3 of my children enjoy coming several times a week, yes, ENJOY! My 4th and 7th grader were very hesitant at first, but after just one visit, they were eager to show off how great a job they had done. That's what is most impressive, Mathnasium makes math fun for all 3 of my kids. I just wish they were open 7 days a week as our Mon-Thurs schedules are jam-packed already and I'm least overbooked on Fridays and Sundays, the days they're closed.

My daughter has more confidence in her math skills and loves coming in. The instructors make learning fun and the reward system is a great motivator.

My son is actually excited about going and he feels he gets the help that he needs. He is comfortable not knowing and asking questions.
