Great place for tutoring

Sylvan of High Point has been such a help to my daughter . Elizabeth is great and keeps us up to date on her progress. She truly knows each kid individually as they come in. We moved to Cary in August. When we moved my son was struggling really bad in school. With me helping him at home as much as I could with extra practice, worksheets, reading with him, studying multiplication facts with him he just was not catching on which gave me a lot of concern. I reached out to sylvan & now my son attends Sylvan, when I say the improvement of him being in tutoring has helped words can’t even begin to describe the improvement. It is amazing to see how far he has came & has struggled with school since pre-k but never had tutoring places in our area back home to attend. It has been a blessing seeing the improvement not only in tutoring but as well as in school. Me as a parent isn’t the only one who notices either I have had several teachers let me know the improvement they see in my child as well as family members. Sylvan is a wonderful place for children to get the extra help they need for school. As far as parents you are never left out of the loop of your child’s success in improvement, you get to meet with the director to see your child’s improvement in depth & speak about things deeper than just mentioning to the director that you see struggles with in other areas. My son loves attending & never gives me any problems on days he has tutoring.
Our son has been attending tutoring for AP Calculus at Sylvan. They were the only place in Lake Norman area to provide that level of math. It has been a huge help and I can’t thank the staff enough for working with him and his busy schedule. His confidence has grown so much in just a month!
Ms. Elizabeth and her team has been very helpful and always flexible the our schedule. They took my kindergartener that was behind in Reading and math and got him completely caught up and even ahead in math in a matter of a few months. She even showed up for a parent/teacher conference to make sure everyone was on the same page. Worth the investment.

My son, 6th grade, has been taking math tutoring sessions at the Cary/Morrisville branch for a few months and we have been quite satisfied. My son has learned a lot from tutors who are kind and competent. Sylvan also has a systematic website where I can check upcoming schedule and check my child's progress. The administrative staff are kind and responsive.
My son likes Sylvan for SAT preparation. Very professional staff that provide personalized attention.
Our junior daughter learned how to approach the questions, which points she needs to pay attention during her SAT period and got successful.

Just a very fantastic experience! My daughter who is a high school junior is thriving. I wish I had discovered Sylvan for her long before we did. My daughter is enjoying the lessons, looks forward to them, and has let me know what she feels she needs to focus on and which subjects she feels she has solid understanding in and needs no further instruction. I look forward for their assistance with college prep and applications -so I won’t have to do the nagging!
After just a month, we have seen improvement with school work. Self confidence has increased and there is a strong desire to attend sessions. We are very happy with the results to date!
My son in 6th grade has been taking Sylvan math tutoring for a month and he appreciates his time with his tutors. The tutors are kind and competent and I think it is great that my son gets to work with a few different tutors depending on their availability because everyone has a different style and it is refreshing to meet new people. The Cary/Morrisville manager Michelle is kind and responsive as well.
The staff and teachers at Sylvan are very experienced and professional. My son began classes in Summer 2024 for improving on his SAT score. He is liking it so far, hoping for great results.

Due to ADHD and an information processing disorder my daughter was several grades behind in math and reading but after attending Sylvan 4 hours a week for the last few years she is now above grade level in reading and at current grade level for math. She’s down to 2 hours of tutoring a week and is focusing on study skills and test prep. Not only has her subject matter understanding improved but so has her confidence. Even as an often moody teenager she has loved all her tutors and actually enjoys going. I wish I would have enrolled her as soon as we started noticing she was struggling.
The tutors are all very highly qualified and communicate with my highschooler in a way that she can understand. She is motivated to go to tutoring because she is learning material that was previously difficult for her. We should have enrolled her in Sylvan first instead of only relying on her school's in-house tutoring. It's totally worth the money to see her improve.

My daughter is engaged when she goes to Sylvan Learning. She receives great feedback on how to improve upon her writing whenever she brings a school assignment in to be workshopped by one of the tutors. She’s learning to strengthen her writing by using synonyms more often in her writing. She’s also learning how to incorporate more transitional phrases in her writing. All in all, she is becoming a better writer thanks to Sylvan Learning.
