I have to say Sylvan stuck with us through thick and thin, figuring out the right approach in the beginning, trying different methods, and then finally celebrating success.
We've had tutors in the past but we've never experienced such tremendous improvement in such short period if time.

I would recommend Sylvan to parents who are seeking extra support. I went with my husband to Kumon first from another parent who recommend it-BUT we were not impressed with the initially meeting. We were impressed with Michelle Hamil's (I think misspelled her last name) knowledge of what students are expected to learn nowadays. She explained how the program works, how students are assess, the hours that are offered, and how parents are informed of their child's progress. She was able to answer specific questions, give feedback, and show us where my daughter would start in terms of her academic supports. My daughter enjoys attending and she likes the teachers.
