Sylvan has helped my daughter in short time shine with confidence, not only at school but at home with her reading and math. This is already well worth the money.
My son is on the spectrum and was struggling with basic math concepts, placing him three grade levels behind the actual grade he was in. Abstract concepts are tough for him. With the help of Sylvan we have been able to make up for those three years to get him almost at correct grade level math. He attends twice a week and it has been a game changer for him academically and confidence wise. We definitely owe a great deal to the teachers and staff at the York PA center!

Within less than 6 months of service, our son made up for almost 4 years of math concepts. He was only able to understand and produce 3rd grade math in the 7th grade. To say that we are incredibly proud of him is an understatement. He even earned student of the month in September. He has never received an academic award, and you could tell that he was very proud of himself. Sylvan thank you for the knowledge and the self confidence he now has. We couldn’t be happier and prouder of our son.

I'm looking for improvement for my daughter..The staff has been great and helpful when I call or came into theoffice.
My daughter recently participated in independent learning on the Sylvan website for a few weeks and the crash course of 3 hours at Mechanicsburg. Her recent SAT increased by 70 points. Had my daughter spent even more time studying with Sylvan, I do believe she would seen a more significant increase. She is very happy with her latest scores and has decided not to take the SAT again. Thanks to Sylvan for assisting my daughter in improving her scores.
The staff is always so welcoming! Virtual learning was a challenge, to say the least! Since we started with Sylvan, my daughter's attitude towards learning has completely changed for the better, and the social-emotional support she receives is invaluable! Not to mention, I don't know what I would do without Sasha's flexibility and understanding nature!

My daughter enjoys going to Sylvan for the SAT prep. They have been very flexible in scheduling due to my daughter’s busy sports schedule. The staff has been very pleasant and accommodating. Thank you!
My young one really enjoys going to the center and is grasping concepts that were troublesome before. The price is high, however.

My son has always struggled with math. He has only been attending classes at Sylvan for 3 weeks but has already expressed that he actually enjoys the tutoring sessions and is enjoying math for the first time ever. He said the teachers are very nice and most importantly, he doesn't feel rushed to complete assignments.
We have seen huge growth academically with our son. He was at a pre-K level when starting. Only a month in, he can identifying numbers and letters much better than before. He loves going and is saving up his tokens for Kinetic Sand. Thank you Sylvan!!!!!
