Mathnasium has given my son newfound confidence in math. He has developed an understanding that has advanced his math grades from one of the lowest to one of the highest in his class. It is a good fit for us. He does not have to take anything home or bring anything to Mathnasium. Everything stays there in a binder that he works through for an hour each time. For the second half of algebra 1, he went three times a week, but he has been so successful in honors geometry that he now goes to Mathnasium only once a week.

I was impressed as soon as I spoke with Jeremy, who is so dedicated to teaching and making math approachable and fun. Evan’s confidence has really increased in the months he’s been at Mathnasium. I love the format, including the small groups and brain breaks.
The instructors are great, too. It’s a perfect balance between interaction and independent work time.

Mathnasium has rebuilt my son's confidence in math. He has evolved from being a struggling average performer in Accelerated Algebra I to having an A+ in Honors Geometry. As a middle school student, he participated three times a week. As a busy high school athlete, he has scaled back to only once a week and wants to continue going indefinitely despite his 100+ average. He likes that the tutors cover the learning gaps identified through their regular assessments but they also take the time to go over any confusing concepts covered in math class that week.
What I like about Mathnasium as a parent:
- No need for appointments, just as long as you arrive an hour before closing.
- I love that he seems so much more confident and his grades have risen dramatically.
- The tutors are talented, well trained, and plentiful.
- No Mathnasium homework - that set-up would not have worked for us!
- Nothing to remember to bring, except maybe a study guide or homework problem that is nagging at him. Everything is right there in the Mathnasium location, in a binder that stays in its place.
- It's an hour of time that I know he is focusing on his math work, minus the distractions of the Internet/social media.
- I get an hour to run errands or work, without worrying about my son doing his homework.

Jeremy and all the tutors are engaging, patient and genuinely concerned.

Jeremy designed a plan for my son, who has struggled with math for several years, based on his assessment. The assessment indicates that as he’s been accelerated, he’s missed key concepts, all of which Mathnasium tutors are covering with him. We’ve made it a priority to go to Mathnasium 3 times a week most weeks. My son has regained confidence and raised his grade in Algebra 1.
