The Y has it all.
Well organized and great for kids
Very accesible
The Kennett Y has many differing programs to suit many needs, has a variety of cardio and weight machines as well as free weights, open early to late to accommodate all schedules, and has friendly employees and a clean facility.
Arthritis Classes
Is there a way to have a tryout to rank the kids skill before placing the kids? I felt the Heat team need a little more skilled players and all seemed a little lower in skills compared to the rest of the teams we played. We lost all the games and sometimes lost by 20 points or more. I know that doesn’t matter, but I could tell the kids seemed very frustrated after every game. If we are trying to build self esteemed there should be a better way to vet the players.
Swim lessons, childcare, cleanliness
Great program for the little ones! We did it with our 8 month old and almost 3 year old!
Instructor is very patient and works with the individual child on their own skills. First name removed loves going to practice!!
YMCA teen basketball program. My son just joined the group and he loves to play with his team. Kids are kind to each other. Coach is encouraging. We like it.
The facility is really nice! The pool water is really warm and comfortable for my young son. He really likes the sloping entrance to the pool - very easy access for new walkers.
The class is also very laid back and accessible for parents and kids. It’s clear that they goal of the class is to foster positive association with water.

The instructors at the Kennett Area YMCA have been great! My littles have fun in class and are learning the necessary skills to keep them safe in the water.
I like the wide variety of exercise machines, and LOVE the sauna.

The staff are very experienced and so friendly. The Y continually looks to improve programs and add new programs.
The Y runs the program really well! Great staff and Coaches. My son really enjoys playing here. We’d like to return the next season.
