We have only been with Mathnasium for one month but have been very happy with our experience so far. I don't know if we would have the same experience at every location...we attend the Langley, BC location and I have to say that Sylvie is one of the biggest reasons my daughter enjoys her time at a mathnasium. Sylvie is also one of the biggest reasons I enrolled my daughter. She is not only highly skilled in math education, but is able to connect with each and every child I see her interact with. As educators ourselves, we are very pleased.

My daughter is loving math more everyday. Mathnasium is the reason. She asks to go to her classes and always comes out more confident and with a huge smile. We've spent years and a lot of money with other tutoring companies trying to find a good fit. We finally found it.
Our daughter is in Grade 11 and has struggled for years with Math and has had intense anxiety in school Math classes. We tried Online Math and she was finding it difficult to motivate herself and we, as her parents, struggled to help her as we are not strong in Math either. We tried a tutor several years ago but found it didn't help. We were actually wondering if our daughter would be able to graduate as Math was just not happening! A friend recommended Mathnasium so we had her assessed and realized gaps in her math learning were holding her back and making it impossible for her to complete her assignments. Although we have only been at Mathnasium a couple months we have finally seen some hope. It is never a struggle to get her to go even after an exhausting day at school. She feels safe at Mathnasium and finally motivated! It is filling in the gaps in her learning and she is feeling more confident!
Dr. Sylvia and her team are wonderful. They are positive, connected and so supportive with the kids and parents! I am in alignment with the program in that the fundamental principals of math are reinforced when kids are able to look at the concepts from a few angles. Mathnasium gives the kiddos the chance to see numbers a different way.
My grandson is not only improving his math skills, he's actually enjoying the sessions. Learning and enjoyment should go hand-in-hand and at Mathnasium they do.
Our son loves going to Mathnasium. This is a great change as Math has always been a struggle for him and something he really disliked. He has become more confident in the month that he has been there. Excited to see his improvement at school this year.
My son Jackson not only is learning the building blocks or fundamentals of math, he is also building confidence, self awareness in his own understanding of math. This has led to his mark increasing and his anxiety lowering when doing math quizzes and tests.

Very happy with service and program
Mathnasium has helped me recognize a hidden potential in my son. My son'enthusiasm for learning is way higher than before. I can see a big difference and progress towards his willingness to do math. Im really grateful to mathnasium for giving my son hope and courage. There is an inner genius in every child and thank you for showing my chid that he is able to do anthing he puts his mind to.

Mathnasium from a parents perspective. Mathnasium was able to fill the gaps in my sons math skills. I work in the school district as an Education Assistant and I realized after we moved (from another school district) that he was having to learn two math concepts instead of one new math concept. For example, he didn't have a solid foundation in his multiplication which made long division difficult. He loves math but the transition from school districts made these gaps more apparent. I'm thankful that I was able to support him with his homework and teaching him math in a different way that made sense to him. But it was my son who realized that he could benefit from extra structured math support. I read about Mathnasium and I knew that if I was going to get bring my son to a tutoring centre, Mathnasium would be an ideal fit. They teach math in multiple ways and one of those ways is bound to makes sense. It's a philosophy that I use in my profession because everyone can learn; it's just finding the way that makes sense to that individual student. I'm grateful to have this option for my son and the skills that he gains from Mathnasium are transferring to his other subjects in school (He got A's and B's this term). I would highly recommend Mathnasium to any student who wants to feel confident in their math skills (whether they are struggling or not). Everyone could benefit from having a solid foundation to build their math skills from.
He is looking forward to starting his grade 6 school year with a solid foundation and he knows there is homework support and a great team ready to help him have a successful school year. Thank you to Sylvia and her amazing math team!!

My kids are in grade 7 & 10, they seriously love going to Mathnasium. The instructors teach in a way that math make sense to my kids. Every time I pick them up from their sessions they share their learnings & accomplishments. Mathnasium has changed their thoughts about math from dislike to enjoyment! It's worth the investment.
