Two of my kids have been in Mathnasium for 3 years. They have steadily gained in both their mathematics abilities and confidence. My son just completed Precalculus 11, Chemistry 11 and Physics 11. He achieved excellent marks and although he works hard it could simply not happen without Mathnasium. The on-line system has been great during the pandemic to keep consistent learning. This is not a quick fix method but over time the system finds all the missing holes in their knowledge (some from far back) and fills them. You see them have lightbulb moments and it is great. I have recommended Mathnasium over and over and have seen success in other kids as well.
My son Noah is excited to go to Mathnasium every single time and walks out happy every single time - that says a lot!

We were so excited (my son especially!) to see all of his hard work work at Mathnasium pay off with his last report card. For his second term he moved up a whole grade level!!! For a kid that has been struggling with Math for a few years the confidence that Mathnasium has given him has been priceless. He knows that he will get the support and encouragement he needs every time he walks through those doors. I never would have thought my kid would want to go to a math “tutor” but the program incentives for the kids is a huge encouragement and he actually is excited to go to math!
My son was having issues with grade 10 math and after 2 terms had a 30% average mark and was told that he would not pass math 10. We enrolled him in Mathnasium and he worked closely with the instructors to strengthen his basic skills while being assisted with the course content. He continued to attend Mathnasium during summer while he was in summer school to retake Math 10. With the help of the instructors he was able to pass Math 10 in summer school and entered into grade 11 math with a much better understanding and confidence level. I am happy to say that he just received his report card and his Math grade 11 mark was 92%. I credit this to not only my son's hard work, but also to Mathnasium and their dedication to helping him fill in the gaps and re-teach the basic skills he was missing. Their continued progress reports, assessments, encouragement and dedication to his progression made all the difference. He is well on his way to ending a successful year. A huge thank you to Mathnasium, Dr. McLellan and the instructors for helping him succeed. I would definitely recommend Mathnasium to any child who struggles in math. The results of my son speak to their success.

This past weekend, I was helping my Son complete some math homework that was due soon. I was pleasantly surprised by the following:
1. He had to help me remember how long division worked ( I could not remember the written method) -- not only did he do this effortlessly, he was very clear in his explanation to me, so I was able to remember how to do long division again! He was also enthusiastic in wanting to help me remember the process.
2. Homework with him is no longer a struggle. He is very honest with us that he still doesn't like math homework, but he now understands the importance of getting it done. Once started, he seems interested in getting it done, and not rushing, but working through the problems (this was not the case before Mathnasium). When I asked him if he wanted a break (it's a very long assignment), he said no, he wanted to do a bit more. Not only is his homework done early, any questions I pointed out as needing to be revisited, he went back and made the corrections, and immediately understood what his error was.
3. My son started the week with only one page left to complete in the long math assignment, and finished it, and handed it in early.
I'm so proud of my Son and the progress he's made in working at his math, and his approach to homework. Before Mathnasium, he hated math, he hated homework, and it was a real struggle for us. I believe he's now got a good foundation of discipline and knowledge for tackling math as he goes into high school next year, which was one of our goals when we started attending Mathnasium.
I'm convinced that although my Son has done so well, and worked so hard in grasping the importance of homework, and in developing his math skills, Mathnasium has definitely had an impact.

From our first meeting felt welcoming and positive , My son who fights daily to go to school , asks can I stay longer then 1 hr ? Can I go more then once a week ? He wants to go to the program doesn't fight , and chats whole way home about what he learned. One month in he got one question wrong on his first quiz in class , where before he was well below 65% - So worth it ! Best decision and so grateful !!

I am really amazed on how it changed my son's perspective on math and believe it or not, he would ask me when will he come back to do his classes. Not only did it change his attitude towards liking math but also the result that he's really progressing in school when his teacher provided some feedback on his portfolio. I thought my son wouldn't like going to learn on his free time after school, but he loves Mathnasium. Somehow they have brought back his love of math in a caring and fun environment.
